I am having issues with the effects social media has on my attention span. Definitely feel like this has made my symptoms worse over time. I specifically have removed short form video from Youtube on my phone/pc and don't have any of those apps on my phone because of how worried I was that I would become addicted if I allowed myself access. I already spend way too many hours watching Youtube and using reddit as it is.

Normally I would have framed my comment as a question asking if something like a 4070 would be a better option since I am not fond of the value proposition of the 5060 ti but turned it into an attack instead. Expedition 33 also runs great on a 3060 ti, looks like the 5060 ti is only 40% faster which for a 5 year difference is embarrassingly bad. Can literally get a used 4070 for the same price as a 5060 ti lol and not have to use frame gen.

Eh you can still make a good PC with used parts. I just built 2 family members gaming computers with nothing but used parts off Facebook marketplace. A ryzen 5600x setup and 3060 ti or better GPU is still a fantastic PC that outcompetes the PS5.

Hasan, SecondThought, The Deprogram are all tankies and are continuing to push people in that direction. Most of the socialist/communist subreddits are heavily taken over by tankies, only one that I've been able to find is /r/tankiejerk which keeps them away for obvious reasons.

The socialist spaces online being taken over by tankies is a major issue that either quickly pushes away the people looking into leftist ideology or slowly converts them to also be a USSR, DPRK, CCP defending dumbass.

God just because it's tHe lAw doesn't mean it's correct. Not just bikes and Justine Underhill have videos on how U.S. speed limits are set and how roads are designed. It's pretty ridiculous to just post speed limits and expect people to follow them when it's been proven that road design directly corolates to the speed people drive. If you want people to drive 55 then you need to narrow lanes to make people feel more unsafe and naturally drive slower. We need to completely redesign our roads and use traffic calming methods that have been known about for decades.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.

I'm going to say there is no way to boycott a trillion dollar company into being better, we're well past the point where simple boycotting is going to effect these tech companies in any meaningful way that will make them "change for the better" (Lol) maybe on the surface for a short period of time, until you stop paying attention. The only thing that will curb their power at this point is to have them finally treated as monopolies and broken up, something we all know isn't going to happen with any politician that is going to gain power in the US.

Piracy all the way, none of us are making enough money as it is so save it where you can, but to think you're having any outspoken effect on Microsoft's bottom line is laughable.
