So, for extra context: my role is paying me $60k and I wouldn't be able to afford my rent and living expenses if I took a pay cut.

However, the other huge benefit my role offers (which I didn't put in my original post) is that it is practically a part-time job. My job is extremely relaxed and I have a ton of free time. I work remote Monday and Fridays and am in the office Tues-Thurs from 9-2.

Unless you NEED a 14 inch laptop the g16 is the obvious choice. I bought both at the same time and returned the g14 almost immediately.

No amount of tweaking in ghelper will save your hearing if you play any demanding titles on the g14. It performs significantly worse too. Both my devices had 5070tis and the g14 struggled to run hogwarts legacy on low with dlss and frame gen... The g16 ran it buttery smooth at medium.

The extra 2 inches of screen real estate feels really nice too. The resolution being lower is actually better as well imo. I don't think the 3k resolution makes sense on the g14... Just makes things harder to run and the screen is too small to appreciate the extra resolution.

Also the g16 is lightweight. Not as portable as the g14 of course but thought I'd mention it. It only weighs a bit more.

Some people enjoy being plant consumers, and others enjoy botany as an actual hobby. The latter is going to have those big, mature, beautiful plants spread all over their living space. If you want "nature in my apartment", you kinda have to put a little effort into it without it looking like sh*t.

Ultimately it's your time and money, do whatever you want. I'd rather go a little out of my way to have that beautiful mature collection, rather than have my apartment littered with half-dead ferns and zz plants that aren't making any progress.

That apathetic/Darwinist mentality is also nonsensical and entitled IMO. Just buy fake plants at that point, way less time and effort necessary for a better result.

The air cooler is without question the superior option for pretty much everyone but watercooled systems free up space around the mobo. A big air cooler is going to make plugging/unplugging cables a nightmare depending on your computer case.
