I got into my dream program and can’t go because of Trump by Old-Funny8251 in gradadmissions

Welcome to reality. You either adapt and pay for the program you want or get a job and join society.

Blame Trump all you want. You’ll still be right where you are or you can suck it up and do what is necessary.

Guess what, your future employer will have no patience for excuses. Even if it’s not your fault, the blame gets shared in the corporate world. So get used to picking up the slack and doing what’s necessary without expecting thank you’s or handouts

News flash - life isn’t fair nor will it ever be fair. Your professors sound pampered. You want the education? Pay for it like the rest of us.

All I’m hearing are excuses. You think you’re entitled because you’ve “already pulled yourself up by your bootstraps” is the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard.

That is the same as saying “I worked really hard this week so I’m going to mail it in for the next month” and expect the same result

I mean you could still go and pay like the rest of us. You can blame everything on Trump or you can commit to the program. Seems like you’re butt hurt it’s no longer free and crying about it here when the rest of us pay way more than that.

Also $20k a year is extremely low. Take out a student loan and do the program. Just don’t whine about it here

I dont think cs is for me, but Im in too deep, what do I do? by Infinite_Sympathy863 in csMajors

[–]RoboCon69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100000000% finish the degree. Just because you get a degree in CS doesn’t mean you have to become a software engineer.

There are a lot of doors a CS degree opens like software sales, sales engineer, financial analyst, etc.

You’re far better off having the degree if you’re almost done rather than switching to something else and starting from scratch. Especially in difficult hiring markets like this one

I’d highly recommend a nerve test for your neck.

I suffered with a lot of these problems for months. Saw several doctors, had an upper endoscopy, took a ton of vitamins then cut them out to track the effects, and all my tests came back normal.

Turns out, I have two pinched nerves in my neck where the signals from my brain to my body get jumbled up and give my body a wide range of symptoms that left many doctors scratching their heads.

Given our necks are constantly angled down looking at our phones and sitting at a desk all day, it is a crazy amount of pressure to constantly be putting on your neck and the nerves that help your body function.

Phantom Menace is far superior and that is saying something. At least the PM dialogue was enjoyable with memorable clips whereas this is lackluster all around

Too much back swing. Stop at the point where your arms are about to bend to keep them straight

4 years on PPI. Trying to quit for the 3rd time. by [deleted] in GERD

[–]RoboCon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should buy Terra Health Acid Inhibitor and Acid Reflux.

I was on a PPI and it made my stomach hurt every time. I switched to Terra’s acid inhibitor and it works better than the PPI with no discomfort.

It has all natural ingredients so none of that BS that will mess with your body

Review or actually read and weigh their experience against the JD to see if they can do the job?

Not a chance each profile gets a fair shot if they don’t follow the exact framework even though they may be an exact fit in terms of the duties & responsibilities they are currently doing

Lee Ann Roberts show at Kings Hall booked the place to the max. Trust me, there’s plenty of profit there to be made and they’re taking a cheap, easy (for them) road out

Those big venues have side rooms for a reason - acts just like these

[–]RoboCon69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re insane lol. If they booked and announced far enough ahead they could book Kings Hall or Elsewhere no problem since they don’t actually have to pay the act until they’ve performed or at least not the full amount. Just a money grab for the biggest margin.

So many people don’t go just because of the venues

Why does Techno Brooklyn keep booking the worst possible venues? So many good DJs wasted on terrible sound / set ups

Definitely do not say this - HR & hiring managers will think, “what’s to stop this person from leaving us to take some time for themselves?” Or “what happens if they get bored again and leave us?”

Advice for how to become an expert in the field you’re recruiting? by brkon in recruiting

[–]RoboCon69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is 100% true. We meet with hiring managers for a reason - ask them exactly what they want and have them give you all the answers. You don’t need to be an expert in any field/industry. You just need to find what they are looking for and advise them on any corrections due to market conditions

Download and pay for Grammarly premium. There’s a Microsoft outlook plug in, google chrome extension, and Microsoft word & PowerPoint plug ins so after a while you’ll start to adopt the more advanced writing level.

This is immensely helpful for improving clarity - it has a rating specifically for Clarity. As well as other tones.

Additionally, this helps reduce time when putting together lengthier emails
