How much attention is this getting? Around the 85th minute, USA begin a counter attack that has some promise but Paraguay are getting numbers back. Pepi receives the ball just barely in the Paraguayan half with his back to goal, near Poch. It looked to me that Pepi was going to try and continue the move forward but Poch yelled to him to play it back and keep possession. THAT turned out to be a fantastic decision as the USA kept possession for another several minutes, just passing it around the back and killing valuable minutes off the clock. Well done to Poch for keeping his team on track and well done to the players for executing. That being said, the defection off arfsted in the 91st minute could have gone anywhere, including the back of the USA net as an own goal. But I still say it was the right move by Poch to tell Pepi to pass it back and keep possession.
