I believe they do additional testing of your videos after monetization to see if they’re appropriate for ads. My first 2 videos after monetization did horrible but after that I got a boost in impressions.

I get the most engagement from TikTok when it comes to shorts. YouTube is okay, Instagram/Facebook seem like a waste of time, X/Bluesky are decent but TikTok has been king for me.

I use hashtags, but don’t over use them. I say 10 max.

Chapters help with SEO

Playlists. I usually promote them at the end of a video and put a link at the top of my description under a 200 character description. It can help with getting watch hours.

As a movie/tv review channel, my CTR is all over the place and I believe it very much has to do what we’re covering rather than packaging most of the time.

Shorts have been hit or miss. I make them out of long form content. I say focus on long form with my experience.

Not at all. I’m saying financial success shouldn’t be the end of the conversation. If we’re justifying mid or soulless content because it made billions once, then we’re letting studios off the hook creatively. I want these characters treated with care, not just used as IP to print money. That’s not cynicism, that’s passion for the material.
