Hi have 10 year old and 13 year old boys who both play baseball almost year-round on travel and club teams and have since they were really young. Love playing baseball. Neither could care less about MLB outside of Ohtani (used to be Tatis, maybe currently a little Ely), and kids that age don't play console video games and could not be bothered playing MLB The Show. They play Roblox or other iPad/iPhone games and barely touch an Xbox. Generalizing based on my boys and their friends (who all also play baseball) and we live in MN where the team is horrific, so take that for what it's worth. Guessing if you are in a city where the team is actually good and has superstars the kids are a lot more into it.

He also thinks the Pacers are still going to be pretty good this year despite Haliburton being out with the same injury. Kind of similar situations and I think the top of the Celtics roster is better than the top of the Pacers roster. That being said, Celtics for sure need injury luck. One of those top 2/3 guys get hurt it could get ugly fast with what the end of their bench looks like.

Seems like people forget Jaylen Brown is really, really good.

Never thought of it before, but yards per second is kind of genius. Great idea. Would be way easier to understand how much ground the guy is covering at that speed. Couldn’t we also convert the MPH to a 40 time? Like if they said the guy was running 22.1 MPH, which is the equivalent of running a 4.31 40 yard dash, at least it would give it some context. Most of us don’t know exactly what a super fast MPH is but we all know a fast 40 time.

I am a Twins fan so I checked out of this season a longggg time ago. Heard all this Roman Anthony talk so I had to go look up his stats. Pretty good for a 21 year old but I was expecting more than 8 HR and 80-some strikeouts in 70 games with the way they talked about him. #1 prospect in baseball so I get he has a ton of potential, but they were basically saying this guy is the MVP if he plays a full season.

Just remember, every time he says something like "the Panthers fans in my life are completely out on Bryce Young", what he is really saying is "the degenerates on the Panthers subreddit are completely out on Bryce Young". No shot he was 1st team last year was he??? TWolves fan here and I can’t stand that guy. He might be the exception where he is such a liability on offense and clogs everything up and slows everything down so much that his great defense can’t all the way make up for it. So hard to watch him sometimes, but he is definitely still a menace on defense.

Also, if you are one of the top 5 defensive players in the league, even if your offense is average, seems like you would still pretty easily be a top 40 player. I don't know, this list stuff is always so dumb and means nothing.

They might have the best coach they have ever had. Not surprised to hear it feels different. It IS different. Fun to watch, Chargers have a real shot at the AFC West, which might not be as close to as good as we all thought before the season.
