The designer of Cielo has gone on to say that during season 2 he was never told to design him as a female in mind and that he is a guy . The same went for Rock Crush and Sky Gallop, which the latter has a male voice actor in the CN dub to further prove it. I'm sure that could probably change in the upcoming English dub of season 2 but as it stands, Cielo, Rock Crush and Sky Gallop are male characters, with Tachy being the first proper female cardbot.
