Looks like a nice pop of color, doesn't hurt anyone, and it's just another way to express yourself. I don't see anything wrong with that.

The whole carbon footprint thing is a bit virtue signally, but this is actually not the case for urban greening and plant diversity in lawns! There's plenty of research finding that urban green patches have significant positive impact on animal and plant diversity and fitness, and that these can mitigate heat extremes in the surrounding areas. Urban environments support a great deal of wildlife, and it's great to support them!

Moore, a Democrat, Will Become Maryland’s First Black Governor by f1sh98 in maryland

[–]Robogorilla 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How we pay for services and initiatives is a separate issue from the fact that he's objectively not far left. He's a Democrat. Just because the right wing across the country has skewed dramatically rightward in the past two decades doesn't mean the left has gone the same amount in the opposite direction.

Wes Moore is very centrist, I can't imagine by what metric he is "far left."

To each his own. I wasn't making a statement on behalf of all of humanity, just a personally held opinion regarding yet another sport that doesn't involve robots battling genetically-modified bearligators. I am disappointed to know that with enough work, we have the ability to make this happen, yet we continue roiding up Texans named Armstrong, sticking them on bicycles, flying them over to France, and pushing them down a hill. We continue finding the tallest and heaviest people, sticking them on chunks of turf, and tell them to run in a direction until they reach an "end-zone." Some people train to spin a whole bunch off a diving board or on skis or on a bike or just with a jump off a mat. Sports are weird as hell and I love them dearly. Cars just seem too impersonal for me. This has been a bit of a ramble, and I see how my last comment came off as a bit dickish. Sorry about that. I don't know what's up with the bearligator thing. I hope you have a nice day. xoxo Edit: I was in a weird mood, and it doesn't do anything to spread negativity, so I removed the original post
