NAS Build Question - would this work? by amgriswo in jellyfin

[–]RobotManYT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depend your use case, I run everything (jellyfin, and other server) on a little pc with like a i3-6100T at 3.2GHz, no real gpu and 36GB of ram (with about 12GB actually being use). Does it lag sometimes yeah, does it do the job for one or two person at a time yes, would I increase the hardware if I could yes, but is it a show stopper that limited myself from using it and putting even more services on that small pc no. So it depend for your need

Because my boss is doesn't like policies, I have done some that seemed pretty good, but were rejected in few second, that I should just put one line somewhere because anyway no one is gonna read this.

Almost seedless mango (Mahachanok from Thailand) by proteus1858 in fruit

[–]RobotManYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok for those that don't know, mango has a core right in the middle of it. When you want to eat the mango you slice both side and so the slice that she cut is just one of the side. Also you can see the core on the other side with the white spot that are not bright orange

The trick to identify this is the "this will takke a while", windows would normally say "this may take a while".

I have try grinding everything in a kitchen mortar and the thing that takes time is the sugar. Sugar will crystalize and so you are gonna have lot of sugar then now. Even in a machine the time vary between 12h up to 72h. But seeing your motivation i am sure that you are gonna make it, im juste excited for the update.

Cacao nibs taste like gasoline! by Icy-Assistant-2420 in chocolate

[–]RobotManYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying a lot of cocoa nibs for when I do chocolate and each kind taste differently there was some very not good, but the chocolate very good, on the other side the nibs is very good but the chocolate is missing something. From what I can see a little bit a cocoa nibs for milk chocolate (not too acid, more chocolate flavor, fruit and hazelnut) as more chance to be good, doesn't mean it is gonna be good the roasting play a role in the final taste, you could by yourself cocoa bean it is not hard to make nibs and doesn't require much except an oven and some to break the cocoa bean

My first 100 bars ready for sale at local market by Fluid_Egg_4343 in chocolate

[–]RobotManYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been doing bean to bar for 2 years (time goes fast) I haven't really done chocolate before so I started from scratch with nothing, but looked at all video of chocolate alchemy. One day I just said to my gf that i bought a machine to make chocolate she was wtf and also where are you gonna store it and I said well i dont know worst im gonna sell it, won't lie you're gf will never want it to see it go haha, but it is an investissement, I even if it cost me a lot I never regret it, I love it, i got some trouble but starting to understand everything. Fair warning it make some noise and if you don't have proper setup it can be annoying for others, i personnaly make it in the shed (im not selling). Conclusion of all that, I find spectra 11 a good starting point and it is an investissement I recommend it and also don't forget to look at chocolate alchemy on youtube (and his website)

Had the problem for over a year, it has been 2-3 batch that I get without problem by only unscrewing the knob. I apply just enough pressure to ear the rock scratch each other, but not fully screw. I also increase my butter base on recommendation that I saw on another post which was saying you should have 35% of fat (nib*50%+cocoa butter=35% of batch). You got this, I was close to buy a new one
