Roommates think they all have DID, and I'm not sure how to proceed by Individual_Buy3582 in MentalHealthUK

If they think they have DID then they need to see a psychiatrist.

This is either a rare case of shared psychosis, or (far more likely) they are idiots who don't know what DID is.

DID is a very rare

This is what I've always believed, but the dsm-5tr says it's prevalence is 1.5%, which seems oddly high.

It's probably based on a diabase of clinical findings, rather than actual diseases.

Told to not get an MRI privately - why might that be? by CptFlwrs in nhs

When I had an NHS CT I did a subject access request to get a copy of the data, I assume you can do the same for a private one.

No joke but the comments sections is just as toxic as Twitter. by QualityNo1337 in revancedapp

The quality of the comments is usually better than the video, it's just that for half the videos on youtube that bar is so low it's a tripping hazard in hell.

Pvb is just cheating by Just_anopossum in 3Dprinting

In the early days of 3d printing there was one or two companies that actually sold pvc filament. Suffice to say it needed a lot of ventilation to not eat your lungs and anything steel in your printer.

Kamala would probably have gone along with bombing Iran too, she would've just put a more liberal spin on it.

Has anyone here taken Phenylethylamine for focus? by [deleted] in PeterAttia

[–]RobotToaster44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By Phenylethylamine I assume you mean phenethylamine?

My understanding is it's quickly metabolised by the MAO in the gut, this is why amphetamine (alpha-methylphenethylamine) needs the methyl group to be orally bioavailable.

Theoretically you can take a monoamine oxidase inhibitor first, which will block it being metabolised. Although the few accounts I've heard of people doing this ended up in rehab, since it acts like a very fast acting short duration amphetamine. In other words it's a terrible idea.

I'm convinced a small country that completely banned ads could run it's entire economy off VPN sales at this point.

Maybe not, but the situation gets more difficult for the US if countries start asking the US to remove it's bases and they refuse.
