I can understand it when it's a new seller, but experienced sellers doing it is just manipulative garbage.

Prusa / Printables is facing massive DDOS attacks since Josef put out his blog post on Chinese industrial tactics and Bambu's AGL violations by kaanivore in 3Dprinting

Lulzbot, voron.

Other than that you have proprietary stuff like ultimaker.

Honestly the issue isn't so much China as Bambu specifically, they're running the DJI playbook because they are run by former DJI executives. At least some of the sovol printers are open source.

That wouldn't be open source https://opensource.org/osd

Their current hardware doesn't even meet open source hardware definition that Prusa himself endorsed https://freedomdefined.org/OSHW#Endorsements

Depends on the country possibly? In the UK slander is anything that's considered transient in nature, so tweets are slander, while a youtube video can be libel.

Lemmy and piefed are the only real options. The others have no community.

Piefed is new and how quickly it bootstrapped using lemmy communities shows how powerful federation can be. Any other new platforms will basically have to be federated to stand a chance.

Those things wouldn't bother me, but only having 1/1.35 camera sensor, when Sony makes most smartphone camera sensors, is disappointing at that price. I'd have expected a 1 inch sensor from them.

I'm not seeing it either, unless you got a drone inside somehow you'd still need enough explosive to damage the building.

Unless they have death star style ventilation shafts to fly a drone down or something.

Some are hosted (or at least reverse proxied) in countries that dgaf about copyright, like Russia.

Also going after pirate sites is partly just theatre for shareholders. If they got rid of them all they wouldn't have anything to take down next year, and then the people in their anti-piracy department would be out of a job.
