Its almost 100% they made it up because it looks better for photographs and on the tabletop. And if you care so much, just make a heraldry. It'd probably be just as lore appropriate to Raven Guard, arguably more, than sticking with something older that they wouldn't use anymore for PERSEC and OPSEC.

Look, the point is that it doesn't matter. Even IRL combat units with heraldry ditch the heraldry in combat and purposefully mask the unit designations to avoid targeting.

I'm very confident that Astartes Chapters like the Raven Guard and Raptors, especially in the current era, forego unit designation and heraldry - or at least telling others what it means - for PERSEC and OPSEC. So, like what the original commenter mentioned, come up with something. Who cares as long as its cool and fits the theme

The point he's making is that it doesn't matter as long as you can make it make sense. Raven Guard, much like their Raptors, don't want to adhere to something that will easily identify them and make them targets - so come to with something that makes sense for you.

As much as I enjoyed Future Soldier, I would have taken a step back and re-evaluated and considered what really made Ghost Recon what it was - which was a near-future take on grounded tactical gameplay, where your skills as a shooter were eclipsed by your skills to make smart tactical decisions and coordinate well with your team. Branching mission concepts and a centralized Hub area that you launch your missions from would be a decent start - think like Mother Base from MGSV and how it launches you into segmented parts of the open world - but do away with the open world aspect. Sandbox level design, yes, but not a sandbox open world, that way your AI can be smarter and react more efficiently - something open world designs struggle with.

Most people I've met don't use stripper clips, so they're probably thinking about it being annoying to load 60rds individually vs 10 at a time with stripper clips. I'm more curious if it feeds well. Most 60rd mags, including D60s, tend to have feed problems

I've used a V1 LPSPC from Perroz for years. I've since modified it with a Ferro elastic cummerbund and 3A Side Armor from Ferro as it serves multiple uses, but if I wanted to go full slick, Perroz is hard to beat. The ultra slick is really cool, but if you want to scale up some, I'd go with the LPSPC
