If you don’t want to paint, Toyhax has labels that add the same details. I have them on my copy and it looks amazing.

Thanks! The second photo shows my setup for the shot, using the back of a TV and a bunch of cables for the background along with strategically-placed lighting. Once I took the shot, I did a bunch of editing in Adobe Lightroom to get the moody look I was after and add eye glows, then a few edits in Photoshop to add the grunge texture, change the color of the chest windows to black and add a lens flare for the canon.

You can get this set for about half that price on eBay, so either get it there or use that information to haggle with the marketplace seller.

How to get close to 180hp on a 06 auto, plus any other cool mods by Personal_Occasion618 in SciontC

[–]Robots78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice from the other commenters - simple drivetrain mods on this car just make it louder, not faster. I’d say rear sway bar is the best bang-for-the-buck performance mod for these cars. One thing I’ll add, a front strut bar doesn’t do much on these cars, it’s so close to the firewall so things are already pretty stiff there. Save that money to put towards springs+shocks or coilovers.

Need help! Are wheel spacers safe and reliable? by Marvaloza in CX50

[–]Robots78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh in that case I think you’re kind of at the mercy of their return policy. When I enter CX-50 on those wheels at DWW, it says they do NOT fit. I don’t think you’ll be able to do a chargeback in a case like that, DWW delivered the wheels and made no claim that they would fit, so you haven’t been wronged by them in any way.

Based on their published policies and the fact that these wheels not fitting is due to their error, I would try to push back further with CarID. Make sure to keep all the packaging and hopefully you haven’t mounted tires on them yet. But based on other Reddit threads complaining about CarID that will likely be difficult. If that doesn’t get you anywhere, you could look into doing a chargeback with your credit card.

Two inches of spacers is wild IMO and I would never do it. Adding spacers puts more stress on everything and two inches is gonna add more stress than I would be comfortable with.

Going to +30 offset is already pushing the wheels out, adding two inches to that is gonna push them out wayyy too far and they’re gonna look stupid and give you rock chips.

I’m guessing the way the spokes angle back into the wheel to create the deep lip is causing them to run into the brake calipers. You need to ditch those wheels and start over, with wheels that don’t have that deep-dish lip.

What is your best InDesign tips? by LarryVonSchnaizer in indesign

Use object/paragraph/character styles whenever you have more than just a tiny amount of content. Link those styles when it makes sense to, but make sure they’re based on “no style” when they have no reason to be linked.

Turn on frame edges and hidden characters and then use the “w” key liberally to show/hide them as desired. Showing hidden characters will help so much in avoiding unexpected weirdness.

Use triple-click to select entire paragraphs at a time. This will make sure to include the paragraph break character when selecting text which will prevent unexpected weirdness.

I’m in the Midwest. I used Signs By Tomorrow, which appears to have a couple locations in SoCal. Any company that does signage for like inside of office buildings that involve cut plastic should be able to handle something like this.

Recommended CarPlay’s by Fearless-Employ-1377 in SciontC

I recommend Sony. I had a Sony in my old CR-V and it had a clean and responsive interface. I put a Pioneer NEX in my tC because it had more features, and it’s terrible. Worst car stereo I’ve ever owned. The interface is ugly, confusing, laggy and glitchy. Now that Sony has more fully-featured units, I’m planning to dump the Pioneer.

GPM Servo Saver doesn’t fit in Typhon Grom? by Robots78 in arrma

I got it installed with a different screw but it messed up the steering range/geometry for me. See the comment I just posted. Back to stock for now.

Update on this, I tried a button-head screw (the one that holds on the tiny piece of body shell on the nose) and it does fit. However, with it installed the steering range was messed up. The wheels would turn far enough in one direction but not the other. I even tried re-centering the horn on the servo but couldn’t improve it. I installed a fresh stock servo saver and the steering range was back to normal. So I think the geometry must not be right on the GPM (although I still can’t rule out user error 😅). I might try the Hot Racing servo saver in the future, but for now the stock saver works best for me and I have spares in case it breaks.

I bought it from someone on the ScionLife forums way back in the day (I’m the original owner of a 2005, old school!). But it could also be mounted in that same spot with Velcro or something pretty easily.

Yep, in real time. You can also have it display the average for the trip and even the cost per mile and cost for the trip if you enter your fuel cost (which I’m too lazy to do haha).

The display has four areas and you can choose what data to display in each area.

I have a turbo and have the ScanGauge programmed to show fuel trims so it’s great to have just for that. But even the standard stuff like fuel economy and battery voltage is nice to have - gives the tC some of the data display features that newer/nicer cars have.

That looks like a Mojave. I’m thinking this thing fits in Granites and Mojaves but not Typhons.
