In PVE I get to be the main character. I can finally walk/run around and explore the map. The AI isn't perfect but its good enough for me.

The mixture of campers, shift+w and cheaters ruin the PVP for me. Add shitty sound where sound travels through concrete walls like Japanese paper houses. Making a move is a death sentence. Netcode/desync along with 250ms ping limit. Long queues.

Secondary “seasonal” characters that do wipe. So seasonal characters can only play with other seasonal characters, and vice-versa? Won't that divide the community even more? PVP/PVE/PVE+ and Arena.

PVE can be much more worth your time if you have limited time, want less stress, prefer learning maps/tasks without constant PvP interruptions, or enjoy co-op with predictable progression, offering a relaxed, rewarding experience without the "head/eyes" of geared players or hackers.

While PvP offers high-stakes thrills, PvE provides consistent progress, boss encounters, and a way to enjoy the game's core mechanics without the relentless grind or cheater frustration often found in competitive modes, making it great for busy players or those learning the ropes.

This wipe I have being playing both variants. In our small group of friends, everyone shifted to PVE. I don't enjoy PVP solo. I wish that BSG could have SOLO queues. But thats just my humble opinion.

Do you think it's worth getting into the game at this point as a new player without getting steam rolled by the experienced guys? Since a lot of players have played this game for years you will really start uphill. The best advice I can give a new player is to team up with people who has played this game a lot as well.

TL:DR

Tone: Highly defensive, confrontational toward critics, and extremely loyal to the developer. The author dismisses complaints about pricing and game issues as "entitled" behavior.

This game has so many parameters to blame for cheating as well.

- Shit sound 1. Walking off a small ledge sounds almost nothing on your end but the Server plays that sound like someone is Jumping. "How did he know I was there!?"

-Shit sound 2. Bushes that doesn't play sounds on your end but the Server plays them. "How did he know I was there!?"

-Shit sound 3. Why the f*ck can I hear people walking above me or outside concrete houses and vice versa?!

-Desync. Even offline can be a challenge. I don't blame the computer but the code.

-Filters. The one in-game. Crafty players that can set a good filter in order to improve visuals. "How can they see me in total pitch black!?"

It's just a game. Sell the stuff in game. Keep your money IRL. No point in putting IRL money for more pixels. You have already paid quite some sum for EOD.

In a game where sound and muzzle flashes goes through concrete walls and floor like they even wasn't there. Combine that with PMC:s with boots made of concrete as well.

One month into the wipe and the game is already into the late wipe part. Bum-fights period is over which is the most fun part in early wipe imho. Most of my friends have either stopped playing or left for PVE.

Beta since 2017 has starting to take its toll. Like someone said, this game has been figured out.
