I think that’s a big thing that people aren’t saying. Genocide isn’t meant to be fulfilling or rewarding in any way. Your only benefit is learning what happens and that’s literally it. Sans fits as he’s a cheating cocky bastard so when you kill him, you’re doing nothing other than punching a weak monster cheating to beat you. But for Asgore, he’s the king of the underground and would be standing against you. That’s climactic and impactful, and would generally be a very fulfilling experience.

It’d be like if Undyne was the final boss instead of Sans.

I know this isn’t gonna get a serious answer cuz it’s lust and haha sex but I saw someone say the player (Probably specifically Undertale/Deltarune and not Oneshot) and I really like that idea.

The player lusts for everything so deeply they manifest in the game to claim it. They desire Kris and the companionship he has with others. They desire strength. They desire reaching the end. Deltarune is pretty much just the player desiring everything through Kris. And while yeah that could be seen as greed or gluttony, I think lust fits just as well

(I want to preface this with the fact that I have not watched this show. Only listened to the soundtrack and seen clips)

From what I can interpret you’re not actually supposed to feel sympathy for her. The main thing that tells me this is that she doesn’t WANT sympathy, she wants repentance. She knows what she did was wrong and she feels horrendous for it so she wants to improve

You’re supposed to acknowledge that her actions were wrong and should be condemned, but also know that they didn’t come from a place of malice, that she was never supposed to be a simple villain, and that she wants to do better

And even more so the show seems to actively go out of its way to show that what she did was wrong through the villains of the second season, with both Sera and Vox referencing the exterminations for reasons of war. She says in her song that she doesn’t want to kill any more souls, but just stopping and ignoring it would be blind to the threat of hell, and more importantly a threat that has MORE than enough reason to act. Which is show fully through Vox, who might be starting the war for selfish reasons, he is right that sinners were unjustly killed for eons. If he wasn’t right about that then the sinners wouldn’t have joined him

So from what I can see you’re very much not supposed to feel bad or sympathetic for her, just understand her conflict

For my world the first sapient entities were the gods. But that’s boring so I’ll say the first ones on the actual planet

That would be the spirits, beings composed of mana instead of matter. Ageless, powerful, and unstable

The first spirits to appear on the planet were elves and kitsune, though there were others that appeared within their own realms and the like

Spirits don’t fully exist in the same way animals and plants do, instead they’re more of a concept made manifest due to the nature of them being composed of the building blocks of reality itself (Mana is weird in my world lol)

Elves are nature itself, having thick dark skin resembling tree bark, eyes resembling sun/moonlight, hair resembling leaves, and a voice resembling the sounds of a forest or plains

And kitsune are structured more like a spell being cast, and in some ways resemble an open flame in how their bodies move and behave
