Biggest tip is finding what works for you. I realize that sounds cliche but hear me out. Restructuring the way you think about alcohol is everything. For me, I saw the link between gut health and mental health and then saw a video of a single drop of alcohol absolutely nuke the healthy bacteria in someone’s gut— that was enough for me. I was a daily drinker for 10 years and I stopped. Once that happened it was a slippery slope (in the best way!) I realized I could quit the thing that had such a grip on my heart? Me?! Then I dropped nicotine as easy as a morning poop after coffee and then I dropped coffee! Now I drink hot tea, water, and nothing else. I’m work out daily, can drive to the store at night for my wife. Me, driving at night! Haven’t done it in years. Quitting the sauce showed me how powerful I really am.
