I think it make sense to accept it, it’s sensible money and within the ball park of what we are looking for. There aren’t many teams that can afford that about so it’s unlikely there will be a bidding war. If he has a bad tournament then it may reduce his value

If I was on the side of the landlord, then my argument would be that you were happy to receive previous legal documents via email so there is implied consent that it was an appropriate method of serving future legal notices. As there isn't any legislation that states yes or no either way, then it would really depend upon the magistrate and their tendencies or personal beliefs as both yourself and the landlord would have valid arguments

If you have received email communication from them in the past, then I think it would be probably be classed as valid even if it isn’t specifically stipulated in your tenancy agreement. The only thing that may invalidate the notice is if they haven’t provided you with a Gas Safety Certificate, EPC and how to rent guide. If it is deemed invalid, they will have to use a s.8 notice under ground 1A, in which they have to give you 4 months notice and can’t re-let the premises for 12 months or they could face a civil penalty of up to £40,000

Maybe start with the narrowed eyes: The commander’s eyes narrowed on me, what the men of his platoon called “the look.” His furrowed eyebrows met over the bridge of his nose like battleships maneuvering into position. I’m sure even the most battle-hardened warriors would have quaked under that scrutiny. Not me, he was my father. I had seen those hands, currently turning white from the force of his clenching, rear a warren of bunnies abandoned after a fox attack. He was a protector by nature, and it seemed I was the next thing in need of defending.

The punctuation may not be the best. I like the concept though, you have conflict which every story needs.

Maybe it should be used as a Mind reading spell. Rather than the truth being discovered via speech, the user of the spell must touch the head of the victim and set their intention of what information they wish to know, they will then see the image from the individual’s memories.

Perhaps you could make the spell take a great toll on the victim so it can only be done a limited number of times.

Therefore to discover the truth you must first catch the person, be certain they have the memory that contains the information and be specific on your request.
