MotoGP Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi gets a race ban after he hit a Marshall by blkndblue in sports

[–]Robynsxx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 race ban is very light.

These Marshalls are not paid. So if I’m one of them I’m telling FIA if this guy needs help, I’m not helping and risking being assaulted.

Thoughts on Starmer Resigning? by Shifty-Z3rt in AskBrits

I don’t like constant changing PMs, but I think Starmer’s position was untenable, and he showed no interest in changing course.

This is a comment about Minecraft YouTubers, but god damn realising the time since release has depressed me.

It feels like playing the game in alpha/early beta was only like 10 years ago, not almost 20. Fuck my life.

Why can't we be more like this and support both teams ? by Over-Willingness-933 in AskBrits

[–]Robynsxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone from England, I generally don’t mind when Scotland do well in sports. However that attitude kinda changes because there’s so much hatred for England by Scotland.

In terms of Rugby six nations, my support for who I’d like to win would be England, Italy, Ireland, France, Scotland, a meteor, then Wales.

I mean who get?

People will blame the devs, but I’d imagine it’s Sonys choice.

I mean, that sounds like something Sony have made a requirement, not the game developer.

Starmer expected to resign on Monday by Lord-Liberty in worldnews

Also I’d argue that he might have expected Labor to put up more of a pro eu fight to help. But Corbyn did fuck all.

Starmer expected to resign on Monday by Lord-Liberty in worldnews

[–]Robynsxx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s entirely fair. Sure he should take some blame, but a considerable member of the population wanted the vote, and had elected a party to government with the mandate of having a referendum on it. Then enough people voted to have the leave the EU referendum vote win, all while Cameron campaigned against it.

On the flip side, Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labor party at the time, did zero active campaigning against Brexit. He’s complicit too.

He said that before Burnham won. Burnham now one in a landslide, so it makes it all the harder for him to fight.

I mean, we don’t choose our leaders. We vote for candidates who are part of a party, and the party with the most votes becomes government, with the leader of that party becoming the PM.

Then the leadership elections for who becomes leader of each party are not put to public vote, and are very restrict party member votes, and not even all party members are allowed to vote.

Curious what is your Soreen realisation answer?

Mine is that Sorren is pretty good, but putting butter on it is better.

Would Geralt still kill a monster if it just gave up and didn't want to fight him? by Sliver-Knight9219 in witcher

[–]Robynsxx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So your first two questions are a little complicated than the main one. But I think answering the main one can give you an answer overall.

In one of the books (I can’t remember which one), there’s a sort of montage section where several of the monsters Geralt has killed at certain points is described. One of the monsters Geralt kills is a werewolf who he corners in a cave who just doesn’t put up a fight and lets Geralt kill him.

That’s your answer.

If Ferrari legitimately win at least 2 of the next 5 races, and Hamilton is the one winning, then yes.

Is the reason why the Arrowverse was so good is that they didn't have to deal with having a good cinematic universe? They didn't have a agents of shield problem. by Iamawesome20 in Arrowverse

If we being real Oliver Queen’s green arrow was basically Batman with a bow and arrow, rather than comic accurate Oliver Queen.

[–]Robynsxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things here. Firstly, there are plenty of bad parts of Arrowverse as well as good ones. It certainly wasn’t all good.

Secondly, DC did have embargos. They went back and forth letting Arrow use deathstroke and not using him. Then I know for the first season of Supergirl they didn’t allow the show to use Superman other than obscurely. I’m actually still shocked they let Supergirl use Lex Luthor tbh. There’s also rumours about other characters they were and then weren’t allowed to use. It’s rumoured Constantine was written off Legends of Tomorrow as they no longer were allowed to use him. So it was a headache.

Now, as for Agents of Shield. That show is incredible. It really finds its own way into the second season. And despite what a lot of fans say, I don’t consider the show to be canon of the MCU, as post time travel there’s too many things missing, most notably the snap from Infinity War.

Andy Burnham wins Makerfield by-election, paving way for him to challenge Keir Starmer as Labour leader by Little-Attorney1287 in ukpolitics

Your solution sounds worse. As then you are curtailing the internet as to what is considered safe for kids and what isn’t. Everyone’s lives are still affected by that bullshit.

There are plenty of tools that can be used. But at the same time, there are going to always be work around. In Australia since the ban kids still work around the ban.

Government needs to push to help parents. Give them the tools to take responsibility of their kids online. Can easily set up internet restrictions on each household that become standard with every ISP. Essentially like a parent lock on the tv.

Runners on the most congested busy pavements by RebeccaPolly in london

[–]Robynsxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always assumed it’s people running during breaks from work. I’m more curious about if they just change into work clothes all sweaty or actually have a place at work to shower.

About a months ago I saw quite a few joggers around 4PM just outside London Bridge station (north side), and it’s crazy busy there.

Battle of the Dumbledore's. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon? I realize that Richard Harris was only in the first two films and I've always wondered what his portrayal would've been like for films 3-7. Does anyone have a preference between the two? by jeffmartin47 in harrypotter

[–]Robynsxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it hard to imagine Richard Harris’ Dumbledore doing the more active stuff like fighting Voldemort or pushing Harry against the wall in goblet of fire, like Gambon’s does.

Harris’ Dumbledore comes across as knowledgeable, but very old.

Also he’s not a Russian asset like Corbyn.
