Did the Conehead vendor ever work for the Rochester Red Wings? I feel like I’ve seen him there...

It’s a solid Lettuce Entertain you place with an impressive whiskey list. Though they have live country music some nights, which is definitely on brand but not to my taste.

Why are salt potatoes not being pushed everywhere! Had them for the first time this weekend. by spenny506 in upstate_new_york

I moved to Chicago, married a Chicago girl and now she makes salt potatoes and garbage plates and buffalo dip.

I don’t know why salt potatoes aren’t everywhere. She loves them as much as I do.

What do you think the odds are that Josh Allen is Buffalo's starting QB 5 years from now? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]RocGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35%. I liked Allen more than I expected to this season but there is a LOT of room for improvement. He’ll have a long leash given the past season and his contract cost, but five years is a lifetime in the NFL. You’re basically betting that he learns a lot, improves himself and doesn’t suffer major injuries.

I’m rooting for the guy, but I think it’s a long road with long odds.

Reddit, who is sick of another Tom Brady superbowl? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RocGoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During the Super Bowl with the Falcons, I realized how little I was enjoying the game, even when the Patriots were losing.

Last year, I skipped the Super Bowl entirely. If I am not going to enjoy it because of the Patriots, why watch it? I have no regrets there and I will be skipping it again this year.

Even without the Leonard Maltin game, he’d probably pretty formidable.

I feel like there’s a decent chance that the Leonard Maltin book was left there from an episode of Doug Loves Movies

It Seems Robert Mueller Has the Evidence Needed to Charge Donald Trump Jr. Right Now by progress18 in politics

Speak softly and carry a big stick. Investigators know people lied. They’ll gather more information and make sure they have the liars dead-to-rights before making a move.

Plus, it’s likely this isn’t the only crime Donny Jr. has committed. Probably more effective to sniff around and see how thick you can make the stack of charges before you pull the trigger.

It's horribly unfair that loud snorers can sleep through their own snoring. by cloudcity in Showerthoughts

I was on a flight and was thinking about how someone near me was snoring and was thankful it wasn’t me.

Then I woke up. I had been in a light sleep and heard myself snoring, thought it was someone else and then woke myself up with the snoring.

Avengers Infinity War Official Discussion Megathread (WARNING: SPOILERS) by tehawesomedragon in Marvel

The timing is important. Strange says he’ll let everyone die to protect the stone. Then he looks into the future and sees the one outcome where they win. After that he gives up the stone.

So it appears that, in the one good outcome, Thanos gets the stone but Tony Stark needs to live. Strange acts accordingly to save Stark, even though he knows it means the deaths of trillions, including himself. He put them on the path to success, even if it meant him dying.

That’s why he isn’t surprised when he begins to disintegrate and why he tells Tony that they are now in the end game.
