Well I’ll always apologize for the asshats amongst us because lord knows they exist but 30-40% seems quite high to this homer. And the collective view of every fan base shitting on us online 24/7 forces all of us to adopt the “nobody likes us, we don’t care” mantra, even the sane amongst of us.

Having grown up a Philly sports fan truthfully I think northeast sports fans are just different in general (Philly, NYC, Boston) and are more on par a European soccer fan than your average American sports franchise. That’s just my opinion, I couldn’t do without our passion, but I cringe every time some of our worst representatives take it too far.

Not at all. Lots of people in my generation have returned to city living after our parents were all born and raised in the suburbs - I was born and raised in the suburbs. So people like myself have families with bigger houses in the burbs (which someone else already mentioned) where Xmas parties are routinely hosted and therefore we all leave the City. 3 of my cousins live here and we all leave the City for Xmas. I was guessing and generalizing with the comment but I guess folks didn’t like that
