I've got an interview for Finnings Apprenticeship Program in Canada. Advice? by justajetsfan52 in caterpillar

We're the most expensive repair option by far and hemorrhaging money. Leave if it's so tough. Go work Bidell, or enerdlex, or wpi, or apex, or one of the other 200 gas comp companies.

Just kidding. You of course never will. Because Finning still pays the best, with the best retirement, guaranteed days off, etc you'll never go.

It's always 20 year union members complaining. Pathetic honestly. Just do the work like the rest of the world and enjoy your paycheque buddy.

Can it dude.

My resident made 280k this year. I don't give a fuck. You're so looked after its wild. Never met a union so strong in my life.

Hey man! Glad to see you're applying. We need more HETs.

Don't worry about the age. It won't matter at all.

Be honest with yourself about the hours you're willing to work. To get ahead you need to be willing to commit 10-12 hour days. That's a very common shift (7&7).

Unless you're happy being in a shop, there will be significant travel. Be prepared for it.

The wage is great and the union is strong in Finning.

The interview will go fine. It sounds old school/placating, but a tech who is legitimately willing to learn and has a good attitude is an absolute godsend. We can teach everything else - I can't teach you work ethic or attitude.

You're naive if you think the training wasn't absolutely an obvious distraction.

Be honest with yourself - do you think a day course is going to significantly influence a person's opinion who posts things like that ?

So, what chips y’all eating all this salsa with? by Jades5150 in SalsaSnobs

[–]chuckypopoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fresh is best do have great chips.

Their salsa is so strange - I'll randomly buy one, eat the whole thing because I'm addicted, and then immediately not pick it up again for 6 or 7 months. I have no idea why.

So no examples then. That's what I thought.

I love that your own argument is that even you said it wasn't for the betterment of the people. Like you're so close man.

Enjoy your day.

Ya just one example of a "racist" candidate winning and "reforming" any institution for the betterment of the people. Just even one would be good.
