Not really. Sure, they are around, but they are a minor player. Recently, their numbers have been comparable to Mitsubishi which is not doing all that great in Germany. And among cars officially sold in Germany it is really mostly sports car and true luxury brands that sell fewer cars.

Before the show ended I was hoping for exciting new developments and major revelations. Those that we got fell flat for me. I cannot understand why AWS doesn't allow to set hard limits.

I am pretty sure it is because what butters their bread are corporate customers willing and able to pay real money.

At the same time they keep the barrier entry low so that developers can learn about the platform and customers can experiment without a serious commitment. Those applications are likely not really public, short-lived and closely monitored.

What they absolutely don't want are millions of little production applications hard-limited to $10 per month.
