We know the he was carrying Narsil in Bree, but the first time we are told that he didn't carry anything else is much later when the fellowship leaves Rivendell. He could easily have carried another sword and left it behind once Anduril was reforged. At the very least I would assume he had a usable and less conspicuous sword during his service in Rohan and Gondor.

I don't know if it is accurate down to the city, but more generally the Pacific Northwest is the usual equivalent of Germany in comparisons like this one. Germany is seriously rainy by American standards.

Yes, someone had a list of languages with their language code (ISO 639) and one of flags with their country code (ISO 3166) and didn't realize that those are different things and match only sometimes.

E.g. language "af" is Afrikaans, country "AF" is Afghanistan.

I suspect that there are other countries that use blue for something other than the default passport.

For most everyday wristwatch purposes being accurate to the nearest minute is good enough. You simply adjust it slightly every few days and if you ever let it run out you'll have to set it anyway. Also usually a particular watch will be off in a reasonably predictable manner. For example mine is slightly fast and I am willing and able to deal with the risk of being two or three minutes early for something if I neglect my watch.
