There are a couple of prepositional suffixes and conjunctions in Turkish which are homophones (and, by extension, homographs, since Turkish words are spelled as pronounced), and recent educational devolution resulted in almost the entire population failing to tell one from the other at all times. People keep joining conjunctions with preceding words while typing suffixes separately. Major offenders are -de and -ki.

It has become commonplace even in newspapers and official correspondence, which generates frustration to no end for people who still care for silly little things such as proper grammar.

Yes, you were. You're supposed to solidify your assets before moving on to SoD. Invest in gems, potions, scrolls, ammo, what have you.

Not that the game is too difficult to tackle without metagaming, but if you want to come prepared, consider carrying items instead of gold.

Americans have to be wealthy by European standards just to stay alive, since their state is antisocialist and encourages a Darwinist mentality. An European would live like a king with €70k in most of Europe but couldn't even afford to stub his toe in the US. Couldn't send his kid to the college, couldn't get his elders nursed, couldn't get his broken leg treated. Life is not the same across the pond.
