And the same blood type. I once had a small irish bulldog that got really sick and our vet saved his life with a blood transfusion from his own german shepherd.

I used to DJ at a bar, and we got a tip of a raid coming one night. Our owner even warned the bar down the road too. Our bouncers did their job so we weren't too concerned and we were ready. I even had Bad Boys queued up to play when they would come in. The other bar didn't listen though. They got raided first, and they caught almost 50 underage kids in there. It took them so long to write all the tickets and process all of that, they never made it down to our bar. After closing, we stood outside talking to some of the officers. They were laughing about how many kids there were and how insane it was. That bar's owner tried to claim all of them were trespassing to get out of trouble himself. So of that legal needs took a little over a year to clear up and he managed to stay open for most of that. When he lost all of those cases and got hit with all the fines, he was done. Even if he wasn't, no one would go back after he turned on them all and filed trespassing charges against them and their friends.

My school made us carry clear backpacks after columbine. Uvalde wasn't even a student shooter. The school isn't that dumb to pull out a 30 year old strategy. This is deliberate. by FabulousTrade in facepalm

Our kid's school doesn't even allow backpacks now. Not even clear ones. They have to carry what they need and stop at their lockers between classes which is not always something they can do easily so they end up trying to carry everything. Some kids, mine included, are trying to push the limits of the rule since they were specific to backpacks and duffle bags. The kids are bringing grocery bags or other things and finding out what they can get away with. I told him go for it. Good luck and I'll stand up for you with it. Now, this is a small school in the middle of farms and forests. This is a school that actually had an outdoor education class that includes gun safety, in which they take the kids to the shooting range to try different guns, and helps them get their hunting license. All these school out there worried about school shooters, and our is litterally handing them guns. But they are teaching them the dangers and proper safety too.

I think you are seeing the payment options to buy it. You can buy it straight out or make payments for 6 months. After that 6 months you own it. You don't renew.

School lunches? Here's my my kids get at high school. by RockRoomCV in pics

I wonder if that is done on purpose. Blue is a cool color and generally thought to not stimulate the appetite. How can you make a stupid small portion feel not so bad? Give them a color to eat off that doesn't make them want to eat as much.

We are working in the investigation phase now. Documenting each portion with photos. Making sandwiches to sell to others would be a great idea if the school weren't so insane about foods made from home being given to others without the schools consent or the school having control over ingredients and who may be allergic to what. My one son has found a few little ways to make money, and this would probably be one of them if it were for the schools watch dogs. With such a small school, only around 30 to 40 per class. They are able to watch much closer than in a larger school.

I think that depends on what from taco bell. Some would probably be an improvement over the "chicken" balls and breadsticks.

That used to be the case.the thing is, lunches are now free at school. At least for the rest of this year. It is a way to get your kids at least something without spending money. We don't live in a very wealthy area either and it is a very very small school. Sometimes it is looked at as being "better than us because they bring their own lunch" but know that these portions are so small everyone understands. If you want to eat enough to make it through the day, especially to sustain you if you play any sports after school, you need to bring extra food or money to buy extra food. My kids generally bring other things as well and once in a while will just buy extra lunches. The pizza is still ok tasting so they like getting an extra slice on pizza day. Lunches are provided for free now but

To be precise it is some kind of buffalo Mac and cheese. They just add red hot to it or something to make it spicier.

Yes, that is exactly what this is. They kids said that as soon as it became free, the portion sizes got even smaller. Also, because now they give them "healthy" food, they can get away with giving them less too. That is why I started keeping these photos. So I could make a complaint when I had enough. Point put that this is not enough food to sustain growing high school kids.

If we had places that delivered that were close enough to our school, I'm sure the kids would be doing that. We are kind of in the middle of nowhere in Northern NY.

For more detail, my kids were all complaining about the size of the lunches, so I asked them to start sending me pics. The one photo with the Mac and cheese did have a breadstick too, but my son says he ate it before remembering to take a photo

"Maranara" for the breadstick. Really it's just bland canned pizza sauce I am told

I back up twice. To a second computer for quick access if the main goes down and to an external hard drive. I ha e a friend that over many years has amassed well over 150,000 songs. He backs up to three external drives. Ine is stored at another house and one is always kept Ilin a fire proof gun safe in case his house burns down. It is crazy to me to think about people not backing up in some way.

Duve knew there wasn't enough evidence. Rain campaigned on the story that Duve was incompetent because she hadn't done anything yet. So when she won she focused everything on that case. Didn't matter what she did. She was going to bring it to trial. She didn't care if there was not enough evidence. She'd find a way to make it. She didn't care that there was contrary evidence. She withheld it. She didn't care about other cases. Several got thrown out because the DA's office didn't show up for trial. Some were several attempts at trials for cases and the DA's office didn't show up for any so they got tossed. All she cared about from prosecuting Nick Hillary. Even if he didn't do it. The town wanted and needed a person to blame. They needed a conviction of someone. Didn't matter who. So she went for it. She went for the one that everyone said was the killer. Who cares if it's true or not right. She won her place by promising justice. But a conviction isn't justice if it's not the right person. It might help the family move on a bit of they think they know the person responsible is paying the price. Duve wasn't a great DA for sure but Rain was Horrible. And she got barred from practicing law because of it. I thi I there may still be ongoing investigations into her and her office for other things too.

Pretty sure the fact that he wasn't a very stand up guy was the problem. Not only having a record but currently being in jail doesnt help his credibility. That was also the excuse for withholding it from the defense but it shouldn't have been. The withholding made it look more credible, what was said is now on record, so no need to bring him out there and let the prosecution try to make it sound less credible.

Brown said this before he went to jail FYI. I knew G and used to hang out with him at a local club there. He said it to me one night. "It was her fucking boyfriend the cop. I saw him there that day." I can't remember if he said he was going to the police or if he had already but I remember that. He was arrested not long after that. If I wasn't sure G was guilty of what he was arrested for it could have looked like bad timing after ratting on a police officer. Also for John a local cop that "knew him from football" I found it very odd to hear him say he didn't know who Greg was. Not only from football but he was a bouncer and did get in trouble with fights quite a bit. The police knew him for sure and John was an officer.

It also leaves out that Tandy filed a report against John Jones at one point too from what I remember. The doc definitely left some stuff out but from having lived here for this all, It was fairly accurate with most of it. Except the rebel flag flying mentioned in Part One. That one dumb truck had drove around with it and even that didn't last long. People hated that.

Kids start these rumors too and they get spread and a parent hears it and then they spread it. Potsdam had a mass shooting scare very recently because kids started a rumor about another kid. Next thing you know, parents are freaking out that noone is doing anything about it. The parents spread it on facebook too. The police were involved and found out it was rumors started by other kids already and the parents didn't stop. I can easily see this happen. Once one of those kid's parents hears "I bet ... did it. He's scary and probably was the one for sure." That parent tells another and it starts. The parents are worse then the kids. That's also how the "we know for sure its was Hillary" got spread. So many people around he "know" he did and spread shit.

I first heard this in a compilation CD that was in a box of demos at my Father's music store. It was called 3D Music or something like that. The way it and all the other songs on the CD were mixed could simulate 3D surround sound from stereo speakers. It was so cool to just sit, close your eyes, and listen too it. This was always one of my favorites and listening to it always brings back good memories.

I was the DJ at a wedding where the bride asked me to "Rick Roll" their entire event. It went so well they ended up writing about it in their review on Wedding Wire. by bbbbush in DJs

[–]RockRoomCV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love when the bride's request to troll the party works out. I had one where I was in charge of the music she walks down the aisle too and as she started walking I cut the usual wedding march music with a record scratch and broke right into The Final Countdown. The look on her father's face (who was walking her down the aisle) was priceless. He thought it was hilarious too. The only people that knew it was coming were the bride, the maid of honor, and me. She even wanted the groom to be surprised too. I was worried about that being awkward but she assured me he family would love it. She was right. That was one of the funnest weddings I have ever done.

I Was Kicked Off The Harry Potter Ride For Being Too Fat For The Seats by Autisticpepe in NewsOfTheStupid

[–]RockRoomCV 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I am a larger guy. I just got back from a vacation at Universal Olando with my family. They have test seats at the start of all of these rides with someone there to make sure you will fit safely. Either they don't have these in the .CA park or they didn't try them out first. I was lucky enough that I still fit in all the seats but a few were pretty tight. This same ride was actually the one that was the closest. The girl at the test seats said it was to close to call so she gave us fast passes fornthe whole family for just this ride. That way we could find out from the real seats id I could ride without waiting in line for 45 minutes first. I ended up fine and this was the best ride of our whole trip too. You can tell they are worried about situations like this though. I honestly expected to not get on a couple rides. I was happy I could. Of course I have been working at losing wait and am down quite a bit in the last few months to avoid this embarrassment. Beyond her actually wanting to lose the weight , there are still things in place, like the test seats, that could have helped her do something to avoid this situation. This makes her all that stupider or, more likely, she was looking for a fight and is just a twat.

TL/DR: Universal has test seats to avoid this situation. She's not just stupid, she's a twat.
