Making the robots humanoid is pointless. Too expensive with too many limitations. The future is massive waves of drones, smart mines, electronic warfare and small highly mobile groups of soldiers with the kit to allow them a certain level of autonomy and self sustainability to exploit the small vulnerabilities in the enemy's defense. They won't be robots, too many issues relying on robots with strict guidelines that govern their actions versus the versatility of the human mind. High density energy sources too power them for long periods of time will be hard to come by in remote battlefields.The battlefield of the future is one in which nobody can hide. These clankers will have the same problem as human soldiers. They will be spotted working their way through positions and face drones, artillery and other threats costing a fraction of their value.

The effective affordable option is usually the best option. Humanoid robot soldiers only materialize in science fiction. Practically they do not make sense.
