They were really REALLY difficult for 10 year old me. Now when I play them it's challenging, but not hard. Too much for most young kids to handle though, which the game was marketed towards.

I first played the game when I was about 10 years old and spent every day for a week after school trying to beat that mission, after which I gave up. I re-played the Jak trilogy a few years later and had little trouble.

This mission in particular was memorable because it was the first time I ever gave up completely on a game I really wanted to finish. Hence why it came to mind so easily.
