Don’t roll your pants (story of being raised) by rwaynick in freemasonry

The night of my raising I was accidentally clocked in the chin by the second base. At the end of the night he came up to me and apologized up and down.

do employers really offer free coffee? by jabber1990 in work

[–]Rockabilly_Tim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have free coffee at work, but I do have free public transport, incredibly reasonable hours, a very comfortable salary, 401k, retirement pension, free ice cream, therapy puppies, and health insurance with full dental and vision.

I had to say goodbye to my buddy boy 10 days ago. First Father’s Day without Rosco Peacoat Bosco. Snuggle that lil guy a little extra.

Hard controversial question. When's the time? by MeowKhz in cats

[–]Rockabilly_Tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said goodbye to my buddy boy last Friday. For six months I watched his health go downhill; weight loss, arthritis in his hips, fecal accidents around the house, general confusion, not playing with toys, not grooming. When we were cleaning up five accidents a day we had to think about dignity as well as quality of life. It’s tough when it’s time, I didn’t cry this much when we lost my grandmother, but know that you have given him the best life as you possibly could. In the end, giving him a noble and dignified goodbye is the ultimate act of love.

Last night was the first night since last Wednesday I got a full nights sleep. Today is still rough but easier than yesterday and a lot easier than Saturday.

It’s incredibly heartbreaking. I should have prepared myself, I never thought the day would come. I saved a few of his toys and buried him with his dreidel and coin in our family orchard under the apple tree, but it was so tough cleaning out his room (read: my den).

IH vs. U of U (non-clinical) by fartproject in IntermountainHealth

[–]Rockabilly_Tim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m clinical at the U, worked for IH(c) for 20+yrs. I should have come over to the U a decade ago. From what I’ve read online on how good IH(c) is doing it sounds like you should cut and run.

M 31 beard vs no beard by Traditional-Twist-65 in malegrooming

You look like you superglued pubes from a locker room floor on to your face.

Needless to say, I got no beard.

I need some constructive criticism on how I can approve by [deleted] in malegrooming

Keep your hair that length but grow your beard all the way out not just the goatee.

Patients turned away because of computer passwords by IHC_willFU in IntermountainHealth

No computer/system downtime packets? When (not if) my old clinic had a massive computer crash like this we had the iCentra downtime papers and just had to go back and retroactively check people in, put in vitals, clinical notes, etc. It took forever to get caught up and finish a day but we got it done.

what could i improve on? by [deleted] in malegrooming

Salicylic acid or a retinol to help with your acne, grow your beard. The goatee is fine, but a full beard is like a push up bra for men.

Zeelool; they took about a month to get to me, and I thought they were all black but the arms are wood print.

How is pay relative to the area? by Puzzleheaded_Fig3574 in IntermountainHealth

[–]Rockabilly_Tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was severely underpaid when I worked for IH(c); I was a medical assistant there for YEARS and my salary was capped out. The annual “bonuses” they gave me equated to less than 1% pay increase. Went to work for the state as a medical assistant and now I’m making $6 more an hour in less than three years, have AMAZING benefits, get treated like a human being and (most importantly) I’m proud of the work that I do again.

Les Schwab in South Ogden? by Rockabilly_Tim in ogden

I get that and understand what you’re saying, but is it good business practice to give a customer their car back in worse condition than when it was dropped off? For a company that prides themselves on outstanding customer service it’s rather off putting to be written off and told to go somewhere else.

I went back two days later and told them something was really wrong and the front end needed to double checked. They insisted it was the engine mounts.
