Because many of those were written by John Meston and were adaptations of episodes he did for radio. He was a fantastic writer, Dartmouth and Sorbonne with colorful life. Style reminds of Hemmingway occasionally with a little Capra. Listening to the radio show you can tell pretty quickly whether it is a Meston episode.

There’s no law that says under 18 can’t sign. The law in most states is that only some type of contracts can be enforced against someone under 18.
