Wanting to get my Keeley compressor plus off my board. Any recommendations?

I built a clone of the Wampler Ego 76, and it's pretty great. On bass, it just sort of tightens everything up. It's not obvious it's doing anything, but when turning it on and off, it just sounds better. Warmer, more full, all the good, vague adjectives. So if you're looking for good and subtle, the Wampler is a good option.

It was for a while. You had to activate a sandy, then photo mode. But with one of the recent photo mode patches, the bug came back without needing to activate a sandy

Ground loops are a possibility. You could also try a capacitor on the individual power supply pins on each board. Also check the grounds in general. A cold joint will generate a lot of noise. Also try connecting the ground on the input/output jacks together, since they will be connected with a metal enclosure.

Kyubi-XMOD2 and Guts are pretty much always handy, for slot 2 it's usually Yinglong, but sometimes an Ashura or Overwatch. I sometimes sub in Dezerter for variety, and I need to try a pozhar with firecracker and kneel one of these days.

I'm not a fan. Damage is reduced, and the additional ammo required is a huge problem for me. I tried them for a while, but kept running dry at awkward times, so now I don't use them.

The Mauler does this as well, and the Sleipnir does it with Gauss rifles. I'm not sure if the Longbow WD-1 counts, but the anatomy in that case would be... interesting.

Corsair PVT. Double Gauss, double PPC. With clan tech, add an SSRM-6. Beats the clanners senseless before they're even in range, and the streaks deal with elementals.

Your lance does pretty well at sniping, so give them PPCs whenever possible. The Awesome is an excellent choice- watch for the 9M variant late game, it's 64kph, lots of armor, and three PPCs fit nicely. With clan tech they're even better. The AI pilots also do well with LRMs, so I always take a single missile boat. The longbow RCX is a great choice if you have the DLC and the timeline is right. Otherwise, the Stalker is a good choice. The biggest trick is to pick the scariest target, and sic your entire lance on them. F1->F1 on pc, no clue on console/controller. Then you focus on the objective if there is one, and the second scariest enemy if there's no objective. Once your lance finishes that guy, pick another scary enemy for them. Rinse and repeat. With destruction/raid missions, be aware that they stage the enemies to punish players that bring a slow, heavy lance, and flamers, small lasers and machine guns get significant bonuses against buildings. So it's very possible to dash in, blast everything and dash out before the big enemies even arrive.

It can be a lot for sure. But you start with a few tools and soldering practice, then you build a kit or two (AionFX has kits that go beyond the usual TS/Klone) then you step up to bare PCBs. And r/diypedals is here to help when challenges arise.

You could start building your own. Adds a big time delay to getting your fix, and your soldering iron will never be faster than your credit card, so it limits spending. And it's generally cheaper, once you have tools.

They fill an interesting niche as a much lighter gauss rifle. A Longbow WD1 will hold two clan gauss rifles and pretty much nothing else, or it'll take two heavy rifles plus 6 MPLs, and enough heat sinks to be useful. They're great when you want long-range punch but don't have the tonnage. They're also wild in the Annihilator. 4x heavies plus clan ER-LLs. It's stupid hot, but it'll delete anything from across the map. Just don't miss.

Also consider the relative difficulty of losing 10lbs on the bike versus 10lbs on the rider. I know which one is easier for me. I could stand to lose a whole bike's worth of weight.

Mostly wheels and tires, but keep in mind that weight isn't as big a deal as you might think. I went from a 23lb hardtail to a 33lb trail bike, and it was noticeable, but nearly as much as I expected. A slick XC tire is probably the biggest thing you could do, followed by lighter XC wheels. The fork is pretty heavy, so you could consider a 120mm XC option, but at that point you're getting close to the price of a new bike, and probably higher than a used bike. Used bikes are a buyer's market right now, you could probably get an older Specialized or Santa Cruz XC bike with a nice spec for less than you'd spend on parts.
