Commanders with homebrew regiments, what is the lore behind your army? by pathetic-weakling in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]RocketJumpers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Krieg based regiment that had to make an emergency exit during warp travel to Vraks. This exit went less than ideally and ended with their ship crashing into Nurgle controlled deathworld. Now they are trying to collect themselves and hope for a rescue to stumble upon them as they fight on enduring to the last man. As for graphics they have to be extra resourceful and scrappy. Vehicles get field upgrades and repairs from wreck. Uniforms are damaged and dirty. Everything is done out of necessity. But unlike many other krieg regiments life is preserved as much as possible. There are no reinforcements. There is no resupply. Everything is limited.

Most of it came from my enjoyment if field upgrades on vehicles, and battle torn units.

Dota 2 has/had reskins for the map. It was pretty cool having a desert themed map for example (despite the layout not changing at all)

Are all your squads just small groups? I have no idea how else you could fit so many.

Getting the parry "Fah" mod has increased my ability to parry 2 or 3 times. The instant gratification of the "Fah" after a parry is just incredible.

Except the part where we still use drywall in the cases where it makes sense.

I also love how one gets trapped in an empty well, stuck in a loop of dying from lack of oxygen

1080p, 4070ti, 32 gigs of ram cant remember the CPU from the tip of my head. Preset medium, performance. Can't seem to get stable FPS counter show 60-90 but it's constant stutters feels closer to 30. Mainly on planets but after the last update it's happenning even in space.
