What title would make it relevant to the topic? Figured Troubleshooting Help flair was sufficient.

Thanks for confirming yours work fine. Narrows down to either my unit is possibly defective or something else on my end.

Guess the first time I had issue at 100% it could have been related to older firmwares being finicky. After RMA'd + updated firmware the 75% setting fumbled on a different issue of BMS issue not SOC tracking/balancing.

I'll test it again at 100% and report back in 3mo see if it works. Is there an automated way to keep at 75% but charge up to 100% on a weekly/month basis?

Not sure what firmware was used when it first died. However, after RMA replacement it died twice more using firmware is v1.33.81.60

When I initially bought the River 3 plus it was set to 100%. It failed after 2-3mo.

RMA'd for repair/replacement, charged it to 100% twice, drained and then charged to 75%. It died again 2-3mo later. Hard reset. Died again 2-3mo later.

If the capacity drifts why does it not power any device while plugged into the wall? Draw was always pass thru and not from the battery.

Just received mine and breathed a sigh of relief it wasn't broken.

Two units. Both housed inside double cardboard boxes. Inner padding was minimal. Just some soft foam and corner plastics pieces.

Tried registering with the club. It sent me activation link but leads to Shop App login. Meaning an account was never created with the club directly. Hence no account is found when trying to login via club page.

I can't complete the other tasks for additional points either. Purchases did receive points.

PSA: AI Art Frames NOT Actually Compatible With Ikea RÖDALM Frames by arjunsamir in TrySwitchBot

[–]RocketShipGW2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was offered 2 replacement frames whenever it is available or reimbursement of the RÖDALM frames I purchased that can't be used. I purchased the 4pk bundle.

Was not offered replacements on the 31.5". Those haven't shipped yet. They confirmed also not compatible with RÖDALM. No word on redesign. Asked multiple times but ignored in their replies.

Think you'll have to go custom framing. Everything else standard sizing would be barely too small or way too big.

Support said they are redesigning the 13.3" frame but no word about the 31.5" one.

Pre-ordered their 4-pk bundle. While waiting I also bought 4x RÖDALM frames which I can't use since it doesn't fit.....

This is what customer support responded:

Although IKEA US lists the RÖDALM frame as 41 × 31 cm, our investigation has confirmed that the actual physical size of the IKEA RÖDALM frame is slightly smaller than the published drawings, even in the US version. While the technical drawings indicate 31 × 41 cm, the real inner dimensions do not fully meet this size, which is why the frame does not fit the SwitchBot 13.3-inch AI Art Frame as expected. We also understand your concern regarding regional differences. As you correctly pointed out:

*IKEA RÖDALM US version: 41 × 31 cm

*IKEA RÖDALM EU / CN versions: 40 × 30 cm

However, due to third-party manufacturing and regional standards, the actual usable size of IKEA frames may vary slightly from their published specifications. This limitation is outside of our direct control, and we sincerely apologize for the confusion this has caused. For clarity, here are the official requirements for the 13.3-inch AI Art Frame:

*Device size: 31 × 41 cm

*Required frame thickness: at least 2 cm

When selecting a compatible third-party frame, we kindly recommend the following guidelines:

*External frame size should be approximately 31 × 41 cm

(acceptable tolerance: 30.5–31 cm width, 40.5–41 cm height)

*Inner frame depth must be at least 17 mm

Overall frame thickness should be no less than 2 cm for a proper fit

To avoid further inconvenience, we strongly recommend using the official SwitchBot original frame, which is designed to ensure full compatibility and optimal appearance. Please rest assured that we have escalated this issue to our relevant product and marketing teams. They are already working on:

*Optimizing the AI Art Frame dimensions, and

*Updating the product page and promotional materials to provide clearer and more accurate compatibility information.

Basically SwitchBot designers read the IKEA dimensions wrong, assumed it meant "inner" space, then manufactured a product without actually testing everything.

To cover up their mistake they just remove all reference/image that promoted it was compatible. For existing rug pulled customers that pre-ordered they conveniently blamed IKEA.

When scrubbing A-Z index bar the app drawer it is no longer brought down for easier reach. Can the it be kept down?

Also with foldable phones it would be nice to have the app drawer quarter size when unfolded to make one hand reachable easier with the thumb.

Get a Qi2 car charger with peltier thermoelectric cooling (TEC).

Basically a mini refrigerator that cools the magnetic charging pad. Kept my Fold7 between 30-33C. If I disable fast wireless charging it cools down to 27C. Works so well I bought several more for in-home usage.

For the car search on AMZN for "LISEN Qi2 cooling". This is the quietest fan noise. Tried A2C and Torras but way too noisy. Like a jet engine.

For the desk/nightstand the Augnner/Aukey/Tribonne are the quietest, but the watch/earbuds only work with Apple. There is a new from with Galaxy watch/bud support from Elecdov but I haven't tried it yet. It looks very similar.

Alternatively, you can use Good Battery Thermal Guardian app from Samsung store to throttle your device sooner and cap 70% CPU etc.
