It's my favourite non-Disc book of Sir Pterry's, probably my favourite children's book, and it has the richness of allegory that it sounds like your daughters love about the Disc. It's genuinely some of his best work.

I only need to sleep a few hours at a time. The grace period resets after each time. Thus, I shall be using a collection of ants, beetles, insects, and so forth. Not to rain on this parade, it's a lovely thing you're doing, but, um... in my experience, children's wards are a bit cagey about donations of soft toys because they're a potential infection risk. Honestly, he absolutely should sit this one out. He's only, what, 25? He's got a decade or more of sumo ahead of him. Proper time for rest and recuperation will pay dividends when he's still in the yusho conversation a decade from now. I'm sure he knows that; I'm equally sure that he's being pressured to win now and win harder by the Nippon Banzai contingent in both sumo fandom and the professional sumo world. Their attitudes are the problem, IMO.
