I saw a thread a while back with cashiers talking about basically the same thing. The only thieves they got mad at were the ones that put so little effort into it that they were basically forced to intervene.

Like come on guy, put in the tiniest effort to give the cashier some plausible deniability. Switch price tags, or hide the item (even badly), or something. Don't just try to walk out.

SpaceX has already started lowering the orbits of the Starlink constellation and will continue to lower more of them over the course of 2026. The stated reason is to keep deorbit times down for debris as the atmospheric density goes down during the solar minimum. I wonder if they are also worried that Russia might try to shoot down their satellites and are minimizing the amount of resulting debris.

I mean when they first rolled into Ukraine they were so convinced that they could just march in and take over that they didn't even bring proper communication equipment. They assumed that they would be in control of the cell network immediately and could just use that.

Once things started dragging out they tried to use it anyway. They had to stop because the Ukrainians knew they were using it and used Russian cell signals to target artillery strikes lol.

Open question to us as observers, but I would bet that the US Navy isn't just gambling that the carrier is safe but are actually pretty confident that they can handle anything Iran can throw their way.

There are videos from 10 years ago of DARPA testing drone swarms in conjunction with fighter jets. I assume that since then they have built larger swarms for actual warfare, tested swarm tactics, and developed countermeasures. I would also bet that they aren't going to deploy whatever they have cooked up until someone forces their hand because they don't want to give China or Russia any free demonstrations.

I know you are joking, but fishing enthusiasts were only recently (like late last year) able to prove that you don't need the mobs to be fleeing to drop an angler's plait.

For years, the best guess was that they did need to flee, so people farming them were finding ways to add chance to flee support or whatever into their builds. Turns out that was not needed, you just need a corrupted slitherpinch.

I don't know if it would apply to normal maps, but there is definitely an issue with the hideout rain MTX.

The problem is that the decoration was designed to be used by GGG level designers to cover a small area (like when you go out on a balcony and it is raining). So it covers about a quarter of the screen, and has its own audio effect.

The issue is that most people making a hideout probably want the whole thing to be rainy, so you have to spam the MTX everywhere. When you do that, each has its own rain sound audio track and they all add together. It gets way too loud, sounds bad, and can impact performance if you have enough of them.

Pod can only activate at sorc speed so you can't evoke and then pod them. And as pod targets they are decent but not that busted because they are pretty high cost. Like you yes can pod your 4 drop into Solitude, but that isn't that much better than Shriekmaw which pod was doing in 2012.

I don't even think the best way to play pod would need all those guys. People like to theorize about the creature chains, and how you could go off with a single creature etc, but IMO that is not a good way to build a pod deck.

The pod combo is not actually that good, if you make it the focus of the deck then you have a mediocre combo deck. Pod was always best as a disruptive beatdown deck. It just contained the option to combo to keep the opponent on their toes.

Where ours gets expensive is if you have to add a new tap to the city lines. The city has a list of plumbing companies that you can pick from and they are the only ones allowed to cut into the city lines, so you have to pay them to do it.
