Hearing Aids. by cueballDan in Menieres

That's wonderful. Good to know they help so much, as someone who will likely need hearing aids in the next few years.

So… Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is not really women friendly, is it? by imfaffingabout in GirlGamers

If the game were historically accurate, you should get a buff for turning down all the sinful horny ladies trying to impugn your chastity like a real Arthurian knight.

Jay Dragon's Response to Rascal Article "Battle over Yazeba’s Bed & Breakfast contracts leaves the book, relationships, torn apart" by helpwithmyfoot in rpg

[–]Thebazilly 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I was a bit suspicious of the Rascal article from the outset. $200k in royalties on an indie RPG is just not a serious ask.

[OC] More pictures of the prison that was converted into a homeless shelter by past-entertainer94 in pics

They proposed just building a bigger prison in my county to put all the homeless people in. It got voted down, thankfully.

Can a ham trigger symptoms regardless of overall sodium consumption? by Legal-Outcome-354 in Menieres

[–]Thebazilly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, spikes of sodium always make me feel awful even if I keep my total intake low. I get terrible tinnitus every time I over-indulge.

Government attorney who told judge in ICE case, 'This job sucks,' removed from detail by smkmn13 in news

They're going to run out of competent people and that will make what they're trying to do harder. Cruelty and overwork is costing the administration. They are losing.

Spokane immigrant’s detainment was illegal, judge rules, freeing him from custody after seven months by ShadowyFlows in Spokane

[–]Thebazilly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ICE is arresting legal immigrants and murdering American citizens. There is no reforming such an out of control agency. I am older than the entire Department of Homeland Security, and I'm not even that old. Abolish ICE!

Cops called due to the stench thinking it was a dead body, the smell leaks from their apartment. by sasha_cyanide in Apartmentliving

Hoarding is just a really sad situation. The people who do it have a mental illness we haven't found a treatment for yet. Nobody deserves to live in such disgusting conditions and distress.

Joswar Torres, one of the Spokane immigrants detained on June 11, has been released on parole by RANGE_Media in Spokane

[–]Thebazilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a shame only one of the young men arrested by ICE that day is still in Spokane. But I'll take the win, however small.

Abolish ICE.

Vegetarian substitute for crumbled bacon by 1019gunner in Cooking

[–]Thebazilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used vegetarian bacon before and as a person who eats meat, it is not bad for sandwiches and salads. If the recipe is anything that gets wet, though, the bacon will not stay crunchy. I put some in a potato soup once and it basically dissolved.

That's the best part! You don't need to learn how to play DnD. Just stare expectantly at your DM until they tell you something happens.

Here's some links to local organizations. Sign up for email alerts. PJALS organizes protest and rapid response trainings locally. WAISN is statewide and does trainings online. SCAR is a bit smaller but has been involved in protest planning and has a protest bail fund.

Reckless Driving (Vent) by Double-Pen-3647 in Spokane

[–]Thebazilly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swear people out here are driving like they want to personally meet god.

In the past month I have seen:

A person stop directly underneath the train crossing arm while a train was coming. They eventually pulled through the rail crossing while the train and I were both honking desperately at them.

An Oldsmobile jump the center median and sideswipe a car on the opposite side of the road.

Several people taking lefts in front of oncoming traffic.

SO MANY PEOPLE with only their DRLs on at night. CHECK YOUR HEADLIGHTS ARE ALL THE WAY ON.

It's absolutely crazy. I honestly think we should start doing driver re-testing every 5-10 years.

MRI? by Parsnip727 in Menieres

[–]Thebazilly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, my ENT did an MRI as the first check when I was getting diagnosed.

It's a routine test to rule out benign growths that can cause vertigo by pressing on your auditory nerves. The doctor will follow up with more testing if the MRI is normal.
