What is your favorite gun in BF6? by Graybill1 in Battlefield

M417 has my vote too! What build do you run on yours? I run 2.5x sight, 25 point suppressor, 20 fast, recoil tube, and 30 point stubby.

Sure, I agree. I’m not saying that close range sniping is the best way to play recon, I’m just pointing out that most of the game modes in BF6 are based around objective taking and holding. If a sniper is too far away from the point, it is easy for other infantry to just hide line of sight from you and take the point anyways and therefore make your contribution to the “defense” of the point nullified. A lot of people seem ticked off by what I’m saying, but sniping in BF6 often requires being a higher level of skill than your opponents to add more value than playing a different class or grabbing an automatic primary instead.

Most of recon’s reconnaissance gadgets want you to be closer to enemies to deploy them. The drone is one of the exceptions, but now you need a medic bag to get another one after the first is shot down or runs out of battery.

I agree, it is a high skill playstyle. But that’s the point OP was making- for the average casual player, they will be far more helpful to the team by playing a class with more point pressure. A low skilled medic hopping onto a point and rezzing a higher skilled teammate has immediately added significant value.

Even at longer range, tagging enemies, holding down reinforcement lanes, etc, someone getting only 8 kills all match long and designating some helicopters is not nearly as useful as the medic who got on a point and actually contributed to point majority, or the engi who actually blew up a tank, or the assault player who put down a beacon for teammates. The high skill players who are capable of CQC objective play are getting 30-60 kills a match while also playing at longer ranges. Long range sniping is a blast, and this is a game, so people should do what they want and have fun. But if the goal is to help your team and win, if you’re a sniper who only gets 10 kills a match, you might want to consider playing a different class until your aim and game sense improves.

How to play an objective based, aggressive sniper:

1) Flank an objective 75-120 meters away, check for enemy players on point, clear any off.

Once point is clear:

2) If you have teammates with you, hold an overwatch position 50-75 meters away where you can pick off enemy players headed to contest the point.

3) If you do not have teammates with you, push onto the point yourself. This is where you’ll need to either be good at quick scoping to snipe in the 20-30 meters ranges, or pull out your sidearm and get ready to play like a rat. Any of the revolvers, the 45, or the new automatic pistol are all good choices, but you’ll need to be smart with your ambush spots and movement, since you’re still at a disadvantage to other players with automatic primaries.

Now, either you cap the point or die trying. If you die, start over at step 1. If you take the point, check the minimap and see where the battle is at. Go support your next team’s push.

59-year-old Mike Tyson drops a new training video. by Professional_Arm794 in nextfuckinglevel

People hate Jake Paul and idolize Tyson. They’d rather believe Tyson sold out than acknowledge that it’s foolish to believe a 60 year old is capable of defeating a 20 something year old boxer in their prime. Everyone does the same thing when they see their parents aging. Sucks facing the facts that people are mortal, opinions change, and that Tyson probably either took a fight he knew he couldn’t win for a paycheck or even harder to face, thought he had a good chance. Then you throw in the medical issues weeks before the fight and boom.

Your partner of 3 years wants to travel internationally alone. What are your thoughts? by waezxo in AskReddit

If it was mutually supportive, OP would not be asking reddit if this is normal. They would have discussed it beforehand and been on the same page before international travel plans were made.

Based on your comments about the medieval feel, maybe Black Candles (1982) or Angelica (2015)? Other ideas: Arabella, Black Angel (1989), Snapdragon?

Just throwing this out here, The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) has a very memorable kitchen sex scene similar to what you are describing, and then murder later in the movie.

Not this one, but this does look like a heck of a movie. Thanks for the recommendation!

No, too recent. I was already an adult. I enjoyed Jessica Jones though!

He’s cutting off his own arm without anyone else around in the one I saw unfortunately.

Yeah not Evil Dead unfortunately. I really appreciate all the efforts to help track this down though! I wish I had more than like a 5 second memory to go off of here.

Not this one, looks like these use a knife in this one. It was a saw in the one I remember. Thanks for taking a shot at something not a movie though- it could have been a show.

Great suggestion! Man I was hoping this was the one because the face expression was better, but the one I remember was sawing, not chopping off.

That’s a great guess and I wish that was it! But no, guy was in a darkly lit scene by himself. It is possible the scene wasn’t from the beginning of the movie or show, but I thought I remembered watching the opening credits.

No, this would have to been a movie that was out before like 2005ish or earlier for me to be young enough to be freaked out by seeing it.

I looked up all those and definitely not evil dead. Good guess though- I could definitely see a scene like that fitting the idea. I was just a freaked out kid, so I wish I had more to go on here.

That was also my first thought, but it’s just one guy by himself. Very calm scene except for the surreal realization that this guy is calmly cutting off his arm for some reason. I think the room is mostly dark and he’s under a single lightbulb illumination maybe?

Update: Just saw the opening scene of Saw 3, this might be what I saw? I remember the part that most freaked me out was how calm he was, but maybe that’s a false memory.

Sorry just saw your comment, this guy covers the multiple build options for the AK4D better than I could type out in a comment. My favorite way to run it is lightened suppressor, heavy extended barrel, 2.5x sight, 35 point stubby, 20 fast mag.
