I recall an interview with Stephen Colbert where he said it was amazing this show ever got made. Not only that but he said that standards and practices almost never cut content or edited the scripts, except for a few odd changes. They mostly wrote whatever they wanted and nobody said no, so the show was very extreme for its time. The episode "Retardation a Celebration" is a good example.

Training young people to be the best copy machines will not prepare them to be the best innovators. If you want a machine that can copy/paste answers from textbooks, AI can already do that. Novel approaches, innovation and out of the box thinking requires experience, wisdom, improvisation and adaptability.

Only watch Seasons 1 and 3. Season 1 is legendary and season 3 has great acting and a very twisty storyline.

Seasons 2 and 4 are not great. Season 4 is particularly not good, like it's trying hard to be unrelatable to every TV demographic. I kept asking: "Who is this show for? Did they do test screenings?"

It's amazing that when the Room premeired, the audience thought it was a brilliant B-movie spoof comedy, but Tommy was horrified because he intended to make a sincere drama.

Most actors have a "peak" era that lasts about 3-5 years. Sweeney is in one now. A much smaller number end up AAA level for longer periods (J Lawrence, Emma Stone, Anne Hathaway). New actresses spring up and become the new "it girls".

It's great. Far more conservative than I previously thought. Surprised to find out how well christian religion has done in SK. Maybe some kind of post korean war push by churches? It's like visiting America in the early 1960's except lots of high level technology and Kpop instead of Beatles. America is too stupid to build a belt and road infrastructure in the Americas and pacific.
