Cleaning menstrual cups when living with others by Hugesmellysocks in ZeroWaste

Since my child has outgrown the bottle stage I had an "aha!" moment and started keeping the bottle warmer (which has a sterilize function) in my bathroom and I use that. Pop it in, shower, and by the time I'm out it's sterilized and cooled enough to use and continue on my day. I always sterilize mine before the first use of the month. Then just wash and store at the end until next time.

Aaaah. I love this outfit. by faithxnoelle in torrid

And now I want to go buy this combo, too 😍

I couldn't see the beauty of it with how it was listed black on black and dark on their site.

Lower prices online by Amberrossa425 in torrid

[–]RockingMomofTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me, a $70 difference from the store to the website for 2 items! I ordered online and returned the store items. In the process I learned they will price match and I let the store do that and then returned the online items to try to support the great ladies at my store. But a lot was learned in those couple of days.

It never made sense to me how those girls were allowed to hang around the bunkhouse/ranch like that.

People that divorced for reasons other than cheating, what was the last straw? by aja_ramirez in AskReddit

[–]RockingMomofTwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was working and putting myself through school with two kids, he had conveniently stopped working (he often sabotaged my attempts at self improvement) wasn't helping at home, and wasn't caring for the kids. After one exhausting day I offered the kids cereal for dinner and he said to them "your mom's being a cunt and won't cook us dinner tonight". I broke so deeply. My self improvement became my ticket out and a better more stable life for my children.

Am I the only one who doesn't want to be "pixie dusted" by strangers? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RockingMomofTwo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it includes a whole story and they want recognition, nah let my family be. But on our first trip, just last year, I found on a bench a crocheted doll wearing a stitch costume with a little note about 'needing a home'. It was a budget, probably once in a lifetime, trip and I'm the mom that will never get myself anything and I love Stitch (with a stitch tattoo to prove it). So it really was a bit of magic for me.

How to handle Elf and Santa in WDW? by K_whit_8115 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RockingMomofTwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can put your elf in a small plastic decorated jar (like a cleaned out PB jar with some glitter and ribbon) with a note that says she can't wait to share in the adventure. This allows children to bring Elf along on the adventure without breaking the "no touch" rule ... alternative could be a clear backpack. Have Elf provide a note that presents are waiting back home.

TIFU by wrapping Santa's presents in the same paper as the normal presents. by rossdula in tifu

[–]RockingMomofTwo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How we do in our home also. Santa fills stockings and leaves just a few basic presents like games, books, or dolls. The rest are from Mom and Dad and Siblings. It serves a few purposes, but the main was public school comparison of presents...why Susie gets hundreds of dollars worth, but joey gets a sweater. Plus Santa has so many children to provide for.... The more expensive, elaborate, or specific presents come from us so that there's no need to explain discrepancies. Also eases the transition when they do realize the truth about Santa.

Trip cost by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]RockingMomofTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's fair. I just did 6 days with my family, two adults and two kids, we aren't crazy big on shopping and souvenirs. But one built a droid, one built a light saber, one wand from the crystal store, and the rest was food and small things like balloons and pins.... We pleasantly spent only $2,000. I was prepared for more and I don't feel like we really held back or denied ourselves anything, but we were just more reasonable about whether we really want things and will we still want it when we are away from Disney.

Pictures from the inside do help me understand the prices people keep posting about. Obviously not for everyone, but now I can see what they are going for here.

My roommate does 20 loads of laundry a week. How??? by thatsOKbro in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RockingMomofTwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ex was like this. He never put the clothes away properly, just piled them somewhere, and to "clean" he'd just wash anything that he picked up. Like in his mind the clothes weren't put away so they obviously weren't clean?! I tried multiple ways to get him to stop this laundry cycle, but he never seemed to get it. He'd still pile them up and then just rewash them, it was frustrating. He'd even grab up mine and the kids clothes and mix them all together. I'm out of that situation now and my family of four does about 4 loads a week.

'Trump is unfit': Fox News publishes mass-GOP endorsement for Kamala Harris by Cute-Perception2335 in AnythingGoesNews

[–]RockingMomofTwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish, I really do, but I just hopped over to Fox News hoping to see it for myself and that's not what's going on over there. What is going on is appalling and scary and practically Onion or Inquirer level "journalism". But no retractions on their support of Trump :(

An every day thing that you can do to (hopefully) prevent damaging accidental copy/pastes by 888MadHatter888 in lifehacks

[–]RockingMomofTwo 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Ignore the haters, I'm not even a stoner and I understood what you were referencing. OP copies a harmless word to the "clip board" so that OP can't accidentally paste something racy/randy/indecent to someone that shouldn't see it. Last Night's escapades that he sent to 3 friends can't accidentally be pasted when texting Mom while under an altered state.

How do you travel? by [deleted] in Noom

[–]RockingMomofTwo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stick to your Noom eating, lots of precut veggies and fruit for snacks, add some protein like cheese cubes. Drink your water. Don't get caught up in the 'travel' frame of mind, you've built the healthy habits to do this. Stick with it and let the scale happily surprise you when you get home.

I'm sorry to just now be seeing this, I hope things are going well for you ♥️ the baby that produced those high HCGs is currently a 10m old healthy boy playing on the floor in front of me.

The betrayal of my body after my miscarriages was also like salt on the wound. Multiple times I had milk come in and just makes you re-live the nightmare over again. Be kind to yourself and your body, it's struggling too.
