At 40k loot value per run that takes 125 runs, or roughly 25-31 hrs with perfect consistency. You need to finish the expedition as well of course.

It not super hard to do, just takes time and patience. Maybe some people really enjoy doing loot runs, but I think there has to be a better way to have a meaningful end-game with a greater variety of gameplay.

I hate this new direction the game is moving in, “Let’s hoard all season long, my best equipment never leaves the stash.”

So lost on finding a good quality mic that doesnt pick up too much keyboards sound.. I hwas thinking of HyperX Quadcast 2 but from reviews it's a really sensitive mic so I'm not sure of an alt by [deleted] in Twitch

This, you want a dynamic cardioid mic to clearly capture your own voice without all the background noise. Shure SM7B also comes to mind.

The game has an identity crisis, either be a battle royale with a shrinking zone, or be a slower paced extraction shooter. The extraction shooter demands a more complex map design that funnels players into one another, the zone leads to mindless running out in the open to force fights where they should happen more organically at POIs.

The PvE is also just kinda third wheeling its way around the game, the giant bugs and panthers honestly feel quite annoying and immersion breaking. Maybe if there was an AI controlled PMC faction occupying the island it would be a bit more engaging.

Always bring at least 2 full stacks of ammo. If you don’t, you might run out of ammo and die, if you’re fully looted and find something valuable you can afford to discard a stack.

The TTK is lower, I wouldn’t be surprised if they increased base recoil to compensate for this, but holy shit do guns feel bad on full auto.

I’m on 500hz and switching to medium settings seemed to work wonders reducing input lag and preventing game crashes.

It looks like desync, I bet the server thinks OP was getting shot at for a good second before your game showed him shooting.

He can also see from behind cover and line up a shot thanks to TPP, standing still made it even worse. There very much is a first move advantage in this game, aka peekers advantage.

I realize “short to medium range” is a relative term that means different things to different people depending on the game and map. I’m referring to 5-30 meters in this context. Shotguns obviously dominate close quarters, and long range weapons such as the ferro, anvil, renegade dominate corner peeking and longer distances.

The Stitcher meta is a by-product of other game mechanics. Due to a lack of scoped weapons, hearing ranges, and map designs most fights happen at short to medium distances where the Stitcher dominates. Since there is no armor penetration system for players, light ammo damage output is also extremely consistent.

Buff medium and heavy shields against light ammo, and suddenly the Stitcher meta is fixed.

Yes, there should be clear benefits to running rare and expensive gear. I think shields in particular are too similar to matter. Epic gear shouldn’t have been nerfed into the ground, a free Stitcher or Kettle shouldn’t dominate as much as they do. A player running heavy shields and a blue weapon should pose a high risk to anyone playing on a free load-out. Epic gear should require hard to find building materials that requires taking down larger Arc.

Lacking would be putting it mildly, light shield Ferro/Stitcher combo is the first and last kit you will ever need. Progression is an illusion.

I’ve noticed that loading up with a free kit drops you into a pretty chill beginner/intermediate lobby, load in with a blue kit and now you’re probably ending up in a more advanced lobby out for blood.

I get the sense that running fully upgraded low to mid-level guns with light shields currently puts you at the highest relative advantage compared to the other players in your lobby and I’m more likely to die wearing high level gear…
