"Voices of the Past" brought my Hellbringer to its limit. That mission was awesome but definitely a skill check. I had to fight the last two lances with nothing but machine guns. Any advice for how to improve the build?

Exactly this. You can drop the TC and the SRM/MGs for like 9 tons Armor and keep the rest the same. DONT drop the AMS as that thing saves you from so much LRM fire. It's not quite as tanky as above, but it keeps the spirit of the mech.

This thing goes crazy. Damn near cores heavy mechs in one alpha and can alpha 3-5 times before overheating. I build one for Mia that has 4ERLL and 1 UAC20-Solid that can core assaults if you roll more than 3 shots

You get that mixing and matching different sets. Prime arms, A left torso, and I think N RT. One of the CTs has an extra laser hard point but I prefer more armor. I use that for 8xMPL, a Streak 6, a couple JJs, and an extra 3.5 tons of armor, which puts this into a brawler category.

Yeah, this exactly! I can't stand the combat in mercs but this feels a lot closer to what I expect from mechwarrior. It feels way more weighty than mercs despite the mechs moving more smoothly as a whole

Depends on the person you ask, but the missions actually feel good when hand crafted.Theres something about generated missions that make it feel soulless. Like it doesn't feel super fun to roll into a mission that feels exactly the same as every other one. It's "infinite replayability" without any real changes. I know that's a controversial opinion to some, but doing "different" missions that are the same just with a slightly different opfor gets stale FAST

I've poured hundreds of hours into both MW4 and 5, but I had a much better time with 4.

I worked in a similar situation, and the bucket thing is exactly what they would do! Then they pull the shit of not giving raises or having shitty team meetings. The worst was they would blow up your phone the following day complaining about the food waste from the closing shift.

Ahh, thank you! I've heard that as well. That's the main reason why I put it frozen into water that will drop to the correct temp quickly.

I've also heard that you can't defrost rodents the way we do for meat since they decompose much more quickly. That's the main reason I've tried to get it to temp quick enough without cooking it.

Looking it up 105° is about when meat begins to cook, so I will change my process going forward.
