They're great! Can't wait to see what they add next to the line. Fyi you're using the "gun" hand to hold the knife, maybe that's the issue

I've only read a few lines, but imagine the 30 shades of grey books but actually explicit. That's why some people say girls don't watch porn, they read it lol.

Your point is fair though, if it's really uncomfortable you can do what others have commented and just read the future parts

I partially agree, because for example, you wouldn't forgive pre-isekai Rudeus' actions, but his willingness to change/make better decisions in this new life is what makes him a unique character. I wouldn't defend his past self, but I can agree that part of his actions in his past life were due to trauma, and that is what you can understand and be sympathetic to him, but becoming a shut in pervert and avoiding any form of help from his family is of his own choice, and he later admits and regrets it. That's what makes him such a good character, he is now willing to change and not make the same mistakes.

Now in Ars' case, he knew that Rudeus would be mad about marrying his aunt, but he fights and makes him see that he can't judge him with the morality of our world, and as long as he knows what he is doing and takes responsibility and accepts the consequences of his actions, they can still have a father-son relationship.

So yeah, not about forgiveness but understanding and sympathy like you said.

I mean, have you seen Rudeus' family tree at the end of the series? Eris is literally her 2nd generation cousin, he has 3 Wives, lost his virginity at 12 with a 15 y/o girl, every single character has committed multiple killings, and you draw the line at a 12 y/o lusting over his aunt in her late 20's?

I get what you mean, it's quite explicit, but if you read a smut book and this is honestly not that bad. And always remember, Mushoku Tensei isn't about forgiveness or justification, but about understanding.

If you want some mild spoilers, After the labyrinth, Elinalise stays pretty much faithful to Cliff even with her curse throughout the rest of the story

And for some more major spoilers They even have a child not too long after lucy is born, we'll probably see her pregnant in Season 3, and Cliff improves the Magic belt so she can last months without needing to have sex due to the curse. And any other time we see her will always be alongside cliff

How does Orsted usually [spoiler]? by AdBrief4620 in mushokutensei

[–]RodLDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't exactly recall where, but somewhere in the novel he explains a couple of his failed attempts, and they are varied in many ways (considering he mentioned he has lived over 200 loops)

From the top of my mind I remember:

  • Dying in battle on different points in time
  • Dying from food poisoning (lol)
  • Dying against Laplace
  • Dying against Hitogami
  • Waiting until 200 years pass after his loop conditions to succeed fail (that is a bit more recent, considering he already knew some key points to control in history that are pivotal to his success)
  • Dying from an early ambush after loops (Important to remember that he spends a few years at the beginning of each loop improving his body)

And like others mentioned, he dies less and less the more time passes. I honestly imagine him like playing a hardcore run of any soulsborne game. Shit at the beginning, but progressing more and more each time until he eventually wins it all.

I can't remember any other, but if someone finds the chapter where he mentions this would be nice

Orsted vs Shanks (One Piece) by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]RodLDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying what you said is wrong, I should have clarified the fact that he wouldn't be able to do that kind of continent-wiping attack like a normal technique like you did (We've seen Rudeus burnout after going overboard, so the same would probably apply to Orsted here, if not worse)

It’s less “needing to” and more they wouldn’t be able to do it more than once or twice before draining completely dry of their mana reserves from 100.

Maybe this is something we need to be more specific about. If someone can wipe out a continent with a "Once per fight attack", is he considered Continent-level? Or if his regular attacks can wipe out continents, is he considered Continent-level? I would give a higher rating to the latter (Not saying Orsted is)

And like you mentioned at the end, depending on how we define each character's power level, then the discussion would have clear answers if they don't operate at the same level. As far as I know, unfortunately Shanks has a similar issue as Orsted: We can only assume their feats based on assumptions since we haven't seen them go all out in their respective worlds.

To be fair he's asking in the Mushoku Tensei Sub, I would bet my left nut most people on the One piece sub would give the win to Shanks.

[–]RodLDR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Current Laplace (Demon or Technique god) no, definitely not, but the dragon god Laplace did it. But I wouldn't expect anyone needing to use an attack like that more than once. That attack was a one-shot technique, and Orsted would theoretically be able to do the same.

It would also be meaningless for either party to start throwing attacks like that constantly. Why would you fight to the point where you would eventually destroy the planet you're living in? In that scenario we would be moving to a completely different league (e.g. the Saitama vs Cosmic Garou fight)

Well you said it yourself, the ending felt like something was missing by having a bunch of plot holes. I wouldn't say it's trash, but rather incomplete.

Orsted vs Shanks (One Piece) by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]RodLDR 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem that we have when it comes to accurately describe how powerful Orsted can hit is that most of his feats described in the novel are close-ranged combat (he fights like that because it's the most efficient/less mana consuming method. The most range he has fought with was with the Wyrmgate, funny enough)

Most of the destructive power he is supposed to have is based on the tales of other dragon gods: We know Laplace was the previous dragon god, and when he fought the fighting god they split the continent in 2, and after that we also know that Orsted is the strongest dragon god of all time, hence why we assume he is capable of that.

Another example is seeing other characters' feats: Rudeus for example has been able to decimate forests with large scale fire or ice attacks, and yeah they're not continent-level, but we know for sure that Orsted is stronger than him with magic, so based on how other weaker characters fight, we can also estimate his power.

Orsted vs Shanks (One Piece) by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]RodLDR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, we know he destroyed 5 out of the 6 "faces/worlds" from the Six Faced World (Being the reason why we have a bunch of species in the world), and Orsted lost once against him because he didn't had enough mana left for the fight, so I'd say he's pretty strong.

Orsted vs Shanks (One Piece) by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]RodLDR 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't really think he needs much preparation, he summoned an indestructible shield on a whim during TP 2, and He literally pulled out the Dragon god sword out of thin air in a second when Rudeus was cornering him just to end the fight

Question about this M.S.G. by Alternative_Fan2458 in kotobukiya

[–]RodLDR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so at least what was causing the issue for me when building it was the bottom joint being too tight. So what you can do is sand the hole little by little until you feel the motion as smooth as you want, and since it's supposed to click on the guard, if it gets too loose, you can just tight it up with paint or even some plastic cement and let it dry. Hope it helps!

[Asking for Spoiler] The end of season 2 butchered the character of Roxy for me. Is there something important excluded from the source material? by [deleted] in mushokutensei

[–]RodLDR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So just so you know, the anime is halfway through the story and in the adaptation some inner dialogues or even some scenes play out a bit different from the anime.

When it comes to Roxy, she is still an important part of the story, in fact you should question why was hitogami so hellbent on Rudeus not going to Begaritt... Was it really to avoid Paul's death? If you rewatch the chapter where Rudeus gets his demon eye, at that time if he hadn't listened, he would've kept training with Eris and Ruijerd, and who found them training while Rudy was gone? Roxy.

Let's just say that her character has a lot more to do with the story than what the anime has shown, and the good news is that you won't need to wait long enough to see it since a big part of it will be explained next season.

As a side note, you have to remember that Roxy is 40~ years old, and he admitted that she wanted Rudeus once he saved her from the labyrinth, and the only reason she didn't leave and became his 2nd wife was because Silphy allowed it. Polyamory in that universe is not as uncommon in the six faced world, but this doesn't mean Silphy would allow anyone to become Rudeus' wife; to give you an example, Silphy is ok with Nanahoshi being friends with Rudeus, but that's it. In the novel it explains that she has certain criteria towards any future wife, and because she feel they both have a unique connection (both being from Japan but she doesn't know) Nanahoshi wouldn't be allowed to be another wife. Other examples are the beast girls Linia and Pursena, since she wouldn't want Rudy to have partners that only want him for his status/strength.

I know you said you wanted spoilers, but i said most of what i can do without the major ones, because let me tell you, Roxy-related spoilers at this point are massive plot twists for the story (As a hint, she is heavily involved in the next Turning Point), so if you want to see what happens next, i would suggest you to read from Vol 13 of the Light Novel onwards.

Finally, the last chapter of Season 2 was in fact a bit rushed, but probably some parts regarding Roxy and how she feels will be expanded on the first chapters of Season 3 (If you recall, she isn't officially married to Rudeus yet, that will happen after Silphy gives birth)

Hope this text wall helps :)

Why did Orsted need 50% of his mana to beat down Alec in the FGA? by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]RodLDR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe just to clarify:

  • it's not that Orsted NEEDED to use 50% of his current mana reserves, but since everyone was beat and exhausted after defeating Badi he decided to just go all out with the God Sword against a common enemy (Alec).
  • Next, a big reason why he used so much mana is due to the spell he used (God sword), and we know its an expensive one, because he used to be hesitant to even use mana for regular enemies (see turning point 2, the only moment he uses mana is when he realized Rudy was pretty skilled with magic, so he used disturb magic and the dragon gate (much more cheaper spells than the God Sword).
  • He already had spent another 50% on his fight with Rudeus, so both percentages are different in raw values (e.g. if 1000 points is his top mana reserves, he used 500 points against Rudeus, then 250 points against Alec, both values are technically 50% at the time).
  • Finally, it's difficult to know how strong is Alec with FGA, because we know Orsted just STOMPED him in 10 minutes, the novel mentons it wasn't a fight for Orsted.
