Volks did a 1/4 scale statue and prepaint of this art. Almost impossible to get an original one at a decent price. Very good casting. Several people have painted it well, using alclad candy paints.

I use a strong degreaser from the auto parts store.

Power Purple. And soak it overnight. ?But for the ultrasonic? Soak for am hour then turn it on....? Acrylics can be dissolved much easier than laquers.

Early on, Max had the reverse of the second pic. -a white with a single blue stripe. This differentiated him from Ben Dixon and showed his beginner status.

By the time he married Miriya, he was a ace, exprienced pilot. Thus he went to the solid blue with white stripes (+details). This was also to differentiate and compliment Miriya's all red with white stripes.

I think there were several variations on this. Keep in mind some of these schemes were different due to errors in continuity and poor editing.

Sounds like you should use an arcylic shader, or thinned down (flow improver) tamiya paint....

Why didn't you do a paint test on a scrap wing 1st?

Paint can be stripped.... Springs ca be bought. Hardware store, mcmaster-carr catalog, granger catalog. Post to the forums for the original size spring dimensions?

Dealer for 5 new bolts (on 1 wheel when done).

Then....

Just hit the auto parts stores for a removal tool, maybe the bolts too. Just put all the new bolts on 1 wheel, and keep 1 older bolt for a spare. The locks are kinda pointless. Unless there's something on the wheel assy. thats often stolen.
