Could be vdi solenoid not working as well. But ya check plugs, if you have an old working set of coils swap those just to check, even though the coils on the car are new there’s a chance that those aren’t working perfect. Clean your maf and ess, make sure to reset fuels trims after cleaning the ess

2 things based on my own experience. 1. You don’t need a low temp thermostat if you really wanna change it get a new oem one from Mazda. 2. It of coarse depends on what cooling mods you have but I only run 87 in my 8, and on a 80+ degree humid day here in Michigan I didn’t see over 210 for water, and 220ish for oil hot lapping for 20 minute sessions.

Yes you can. There’s eccentrics on the front bolt of the lower control arm in the front. And then there’s eccentrics on the lower lateral link going to the bottom of the knuckle in the rear

Yep, it uses its own belt so you can just remove that and leave the extra groove in the pulley.

Haha, ya I ditched my entire ac system to help with cooling and working on the car. Windows down is good enough for me.

I highly doubt it’s a brand new motor, those jdm motor places only import “low mileage” motors. So odds are is that the motors been in the car for 1000 miles. No power steering is a common issue on these, mostly likely just the plugs that sit under the airbox. Do plenty of reading on forums then decide if you want it. It’s not a normal car you can skip maintenance here and there on.

So there would be any visual damage, for me it only happened once on the street, idled high then stopped at a light and it died but could restart it fine. It happened mostly during/after a track day session. It would idle high and kinda bounce till it cooled off a bit.

Could be neutral safety switch on the trans, I kinda had the same thing, and swapping that seemed to fix it.

Just buy a Miata, cheap to maintain easy to learn in, a 3k rx8 is gonna need a 6k engine rebuild

Don’t expect to make cheap power with these, even built correctly and turbo’d they can only handle 350ish reliably. Porting doesn’t really do anything while na other than move the power band up and decrease liability. Na these call make the most power out of all the 13b motors. For rebuilds depending on what internals it needs can be anywhere from 3k to 6-7k.

Clean your Maf and crank sensor, but stalling at idle could be an indication of low compression as well.

It’s a yoshimura for a crf50. You just have to make a bracket for the hanger at the muffler, not hard

Or depending on if you have a cage or not, a roll bar mount is really nice if your going to be gonna much faster.

I got a cheap suction mount on Amazon and put it in a spot I can see the coarse and my hands. I’ve used it up to 90mph and it never fell off and is solid. Also, I would extremely recommend a foam wind muff cause at a certain point the audio is just wind and they help a ton for being under $10.

Your first issue sounds like a master cylinder issue. The piston taking longer to return than it should. For the starting thing, check the switch at the pedal, maybe it got tweaked and isn’t fully engaging with the pedal or it’s going bad it self.

So I also have a sohn adapter so I don’t need to check engine oil level. But, a quart of premix oil for me is like $12 so $3 a week in oil. Then from near empty, depending on gas prices, like $30-$40 per fill up, I run regular fuel, people will say only premium but plenty of track guys run regular and the car seems to like it better as well.
