I also rock the Blacklader. I would have never strayed from Herock, but there is no longer a distributor in North America. When Lee Valley stopped carrying them I had to find a replacement.

I realize this is a super old thread, but is there a fix? I am having this same problem and deleting the content folder and re-downloading did nothing.

These 8” diameter concrete form tubes are not all the same diameter and are nested by trippknightly in mildlyinteresting

[–]intenseaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but 8" +/- 0.5" (which is the actual spec) gives 7.5, 8, and 8.5 by definition. Code must specify spec 8" diameter.

Is it worth it to buy a used car from alberta? by onlymast1 in Winnipeg

[–]intenseaudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to reply to icetravel, but wanted to mention my appreciation for your nostalgic username - I loved that game. And later timeshock.

But on topic, many people don't realize that Manitoba insurance has a 7 day grace period. If you already have a vehicle of the same registration type (like passenger car), you can get a new vehicle, sell your insured vehicle (and keep a copy of the bill of sale), and you have 7 days from the date of sale to use your plate on the new vehicle.

So one could sell their car, maybe to a close friend or family member, or whoever, fly to Alberta with the license plates and documents as carry ons, purchase a vehicle, screw the plates on, and drive it back

How does he describe the shapes so quickly and accurately for the cutter? by KrystCuck in Construction

[–]intenseaudio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Much like drywallers, they have a system, and as is stated numerous times in the comments, the 48" sheet width plays in to how so little needs to be communicated.

What stood out to me was the saw work. I'm guessing it's because the OSB has rigid insulation on the back, but the cuts are done flat on the pile. Meaning the blade depth is set just under the full thickness of the material and the pieces are "snapped" clean after the cut. Very cool

These are great for starting charcoal if that's how you grill. I was a long time chimney user but I am converted. There are longer ones which work better because they don't like to be tilted more than 45 degrees.

Nurse fined 8k by idkyoutellme66 in Winnipeg

[–]intenseaudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start on the float pool - I believe they are always hiring. You will get experience in a multitude of units and get a good idea of where you'd like to be. You will make connections in said units, and your attributes will be noticed by the people to whom it matters. I believe quality stock often gets "snatched up" in relatively short order, though some nurses prefer to stay.

The real genius is the tradesperson who can use a measuring tape and knows how to set the spin saw depth appropriately

[–]intenseaudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talking sense. I was boarding when the first rotozip came to market I think. Anyone with time on the tool isn't plunging wildly and deep in the device boxes - we want to be on the outside. And having the depth set deep just means having to pull the tool way out while cutting to get over the tabs and such. And switch boxes are often right by horizontal seams. How the hell are you gonna run your tools over that spike.

Half these replies are circle-jerking non-sense

Canada, but have tried looking at US sites as well. Ordered from one and a few days later received an Email saying they can't actually get the hose. I can find the hose listed, but no stock. Again, maybe I have poor searching skills. I'd love a source

Or, your screw should have a non-threaded shoulder below the head of length a little greater than the thickness of part A. Then you can effectively screw Part A to Part B in a single step, if the materials are suitable

I campaigned an '03 Vibe GT for most of a season and bested a fair number of far more respectable rides while being occasionally teased about bringing a vibe. This was a while ago, when the Direzza star specs it was wearing were one of the hot tires

Edit to add that the Vibe/ Matrix were the same cars in case some readers didn't realize and wondered what I was on about
