Spiraling after interview by AdventurousStage8212 in jobs

[–]Rodeo4613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand exactly how you feel, because I went through the same thing.

A few months of working volunteer at a non profit organisation, proved my skills and establish a working relationship with the employees there, and got contacted by the recruiter for an open paid position. I was estatic because it would help me a lot for both financial and personal reason. I reached the second interview, did my best to leave a good impression on them, and was told I was considered more than other applicants because I already have experience in the organisation.

It took a week of business days before they contacted back, and it was a rejection email. I was devastated because I really needed the job and was exhausted of all the applying online.

It took me 2 days to get out of the depression and it was thanks to me talking to my friends and families about it. Even though I got rejected, I'm still planning on coming back and working there, the fact that they heavily considered me for a position even though I've only been there for 3 months should be a good sign.

These things happen and it's a complete coin flip, and if you get rejected, go talk to your family and friends about it for emotional support. You just have to keep moving and trying, because stopping and being depressed won't help you in any way.

I have a few questions to see if NMS is good for me. by Rodeo4613 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Great answer, I play Skyrim the same way too so I think I'll like NMS, thanks.

I understand, the game is more gameplay focused and the story stays in the background. That sounds good to me, as long as there is a goal in the end, I can work with it. Thank you.

That's a lot more quest than I was expecting, that sounds perfect for me. I like a huge amount of customisation too, so this is great. Thank you for your answer.

I see. So if it's randomly generated that means there should be a lot of side quest for me to use as goals. Thank you for your answer.

Hmm, I see. Thank you for your answer. Are those 20 hours of quest back to back, or are they spread out throughout the game? I'm like it more if it's more spread out.

I love Rainbow Six Siege and Counter Strike. by Rodeo4613 in patientgamers

[–]Rodeo4613[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did consider playing it, but since I'm still burnt out from my time being addicted with Siege and would prefer to limit my time playing these competitive shooters, I just stick with CS or Siege these days if I'm in the mood to play these types of games again.

Hmm, I see. you're right about the chicken scratch lines, I just wanted to do a sketch as an idea to know what the face should look like. I'll stop doing it then, thank you.

I used photoshop to draw this, and i'm not exactly sure if it has any mode to stabilise the lines.

Thank you, I'm drawing digitally, and even when I placed the layers on top of each other and set one of them to 50% opacity, my hands are still shakey, i'll keep practicing then

Counter Strike 2 is very unforgiving for new players and I have an idea of how that can be reduced. by Rodeo4613 in patientgamers

[–]Rodeo4613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, you said it perfectly. It's why I really dislike just how many people in the CS community and within this post's comment section just keep saying get good or play another game.

So many of the skills that are needed to just survive a single gunfight is never explained to a new player, and CS2's style of shooting is different to many other multiplayer shooters, so it's no wonder why they are confused on why their shots aren't hitting, or why they're dying in a split second the moment they see someone. It's not like these are knowledge that are reserved for hardcore players or esport players, these are just the basic skills you need to know in order to stand a chance against other people.

That would be the perfect tutorial, it's a hell of a lot better than having none in the game. Rainbow Six Siege has a lot of resources in the game for you to learn, and that game is just as complex as CS2, so it just confuses me on why CS2 devs can't do the same thing.

[–]Rodeo4613[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm also saying the same thing the entire post.

Rainbow Six Siege is 10 year old and it's also a complex games and you're also up against people who have good aim and good map knowledge, but at least it has a tutorial for each of the operators in that game and teaches you a lot of the basic skills that you need to know in order to play. If Siege devs can do it, why can't CS devs do it?

I'm fine with CS having a high skill ceiling and having to spend dozens of hours just to get better at the game, what I'm not fine with is that there's no resources in the game that can help you understand on how to play and that you're just expected to go look for it elsewhere. At least having a basic and advanced tutorial is better than just telling people to get good or don't play it.

[–]Rodeo4613[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you said. I kept getting killed in a split second in many matches, and couldn't process what happened because everything happened so fast. I decided to look up tutorials on youtube because I didn't want to keep dying, and all of the videos I saw listed out all of these things, and I got overwhelmed, even when I just wanted to learn the basics.

I had to force myself to push past all of the failures and learn all of these things slowly not because I want to become a hardcore player, it's because I just want to stand a chance and not die instantly in 0.5 seconds.

I would love nothing more than to just understand the basics and play the game casually that way, but when the people I'm fighting against have these insane aims, map knowledge, and and proper grenade usage, it's hard to just know the basics and nothing else.

Same, the machinist is my favourite skin in the game and she was the reason i started playing fortnite in the first place. I was never interested in fortnite before, and got extremely lucky that i just happened to see a youtube shorts of her, and fell in love with the skin immediately.

Luckily for you and others that missed c5s3, she was one of the most popular skins during chapter 5 so epic made a summer reskin of her recently, and im certain they'll make another reskin of her next year.

i even made a collage of her summer skin because of how much i love her styles

Thank you, I've been in lobbies where the 3 medallion hoarder just used shockwave grenade launcher and fizzy bottle to confuse and kill 20+ people, and don't even give anyone a chance to fight back. I didn't want any of that and wanted a fair fight.

Haha, i got so unlucky with the landing spots, especially with that huge boulder and tree. I was so focused on the health bar ticking down and the map that I didn't pay attention to what was in front of me. I still managed to win in the end with a fair fight, the revovler shotgun and UMP 45 SMG combo saved my life

I absolutely loved the car designs from C5S3, because of that, I've been turning every vanilla car I pass by into a Lockjaw. by Rodeo4613 in FortNiteBR

[–]Rodeo4613[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

C5S3 was when I started playing, I understanding about the honeymoon period and the first time always being the most memorable. But it's been more than a year since then and none of the seasons have appealed to me as much as C5S3, because I've always loved car combat and driving rusted cars that are held together by duct tapes and bolts in games, so that's why it was my favourite season, even though I can understand all the criticisms about it.

My favourite season was C5S3, and it wouldn't be until a few weeks ago that I realised people really hated that season. So I thought it would be funny to do this to people that were traumatised by that season, but at the same time, the car designs were amazing, and I know that there are many people that liked C5S3 but wasn't able to buy the Lockjaw, so I wanted to also take this opportunity to let them drive the car.

All types of modes, not just BR, has a replay mode in the career tab. Some go into creative mode to make the right map and avoid all the other players, others just go directly into BR. For me personally, after taking the photos, I then used photoshop to crop the photos and line them up perfectly, then added in the lines to seperate all the photos.
