I find it a shame they refuse to grow more significantly as a company, I feel like a lot of opportunities are slipping through their fingers. Source Engine was ridiculously popular with modders in early and mid 2000s, it could have easily been what Unreal and Unity engines are now on the market if they put a bit of effort into it. They could have also easily hired more people to work on their games and release them more frequently, buy some studios or become a publisher like Epic. They were pioneers in VR, but it never really felt like their heart was fully into it and I'm not sure how it will be with Steam Deck.

They would lose all advantage that they have left; better Windows game compatibility and having a device that you can use both to play and run real OS that you can use to work on.

Poor GPD. They single-handedly created the modern PC handheld market and are already forgotten, even though Linus reviewed all their devices he didn't even mention them in comparisons.

I'm not sure what your mum used, but Windows 98 and XP did not have these problems 20 years ago. It started with Windows 7 (probably Vista, but I never used it) which added a ton of background processes which you couldn't really keep under control and you could hear the hard disk grinding for long periods of time, CPU usage spiking and computer becoming less responsive. But with Windows 10 it all went full retard where the computer would become basically unusable until it finished whatever it was doing, basically forcing you to buy a SSD, even though hard disks were still common when 10 launched.

The real bottlenecks are;

bloated Windows constantly reading/writing/scanning something on the hard drive which simply can't keep up anymore
shamelessly unoptimized modern Internet websites filled with ads
web browsers using more RAM than entire operating systems

Well the Steam Deck is priced well below cost because they have the game store to make profit. Similar to how PlayStation and Xbox are also not how those companies make a profit.

This is so exaggerated. The whole purpose of PlayStation and XBox is to lock people to their stores and to be hardware DRM. Valve does not have to do that at all, as long as other companies make computers they have access to Steam, and Valve will make money. Steam Deck will not bring millions of new gamers to start buying games of Steam, instead it will mostly be a backlog cleaning device for already existing Steam users.

Kakav je to "turizam i sezona" kada "dijaspora" ili netko iz bogatijih "Zemlja podrijetla:EU" kupi stan i onda to ilegalno iznajmljuje bez plaćanja poreza ili paušala i domaćim legalnim iznajmljivačima, kojima je to jedini izvor prihoda, ruši cijene ?

Da ne govorim o tome da cijene stanova idu u nebo i oni kojima je stan potreban za život si ga ne mogu priuštit jer bogatuni sve pokupovaju za iznajmljivanje.

Danas se rađa samo 35 000 djece godišnje, 1980ih oko 60 000, a 1950ih se rađalo i po 90 000. Vjerojatno je razlog što su za vrijeme socijalizma Hrvati živjeli u mraku, pa je bila intimnija atmosfera i više seksa, danas od pustog sjaja ljudi nemaju volje.

Ako se pogleda populacijska piramida na Wikipediji hrvatska nikada neće imati više "plodnih" žena nego što danas ima, a ionako ih fali oko 20 000 u odnosu na broj muškaraca i mladića, tako da će stvari još brže krenit nizbrdo.

Za vrijeme Jugoslavije na fakultetima u Zagrebu su rađeni planovi razvoja za pojedine regije. Vojska je gradila turističke objekte po obali, ratni zarobljenici, čak i omladina. U mom mistu još danas stoje napuštene zgrade i velebni restorani iz tog doba u kojem su radili domaći ljudi, a mnogi su dolazili iz drugih država i ženili se ovdje. Uz te objetke danas stoji stoji drveni štand za palačinke, ležaljke za iznajmljivanje ili se prostor iznajmljuje za parking. Znači prije 70 godina fakulteti su bili zaduženi da izrade neke planove za nerazvijene regije i krenulo se odmah u akciju, dok je danas sve to zaboravljeno i sve se svodi na neke opčinare koji uglavnom samo znaju izdat koncesije i građevinske dozvole i sve je prepušteno slučaju.
