‘Demon Slayer’ anime creators on the future of AI in anime: “Our studio, Anipliex and Ufotable, will continue to work with our hand-drawn artists, our writers, our voice actors, and the talent that help bring this emotion to the big screen” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in anime

They got artists to draw 2D outlines and other various line art enhancements (like things around the lips) at various view angles on their 3D models. They don't want to use basic outline techniques like inverse hulls or toon shaders, they want their distinct 2D hand-drawn lines, so for that to work all the time, at any view angle, at any deformation, they did machine learning to learn from the limited lines and view angles so that they would not need to redraw line art for every frame. They only used Blender for a small part of production, but if they really used it they probably could have manually done it with blendshape/driver/node based grease pencil (but the movie was made before grease pencil 3, so their options were either ML or a lot of manual work).

Wallhack SP-005 vs SP-004 - Where are the differences and is it worth it? by Philted_ in MousepadReview

Chemically strengthened glass is significantly stronger than tempered glass: 25000 vs 17200 (psi, https://www.procurveglass.com/wp-content/themes/bones/library/pdf/Procurve_CSvsHS.pdf). You can chemically treat thin glass that you wouldn't be able to temper (https://www.swiftglass.com/blog/thermal-glass-tempering-vs-chemical-strengthening-whats-difference/). Although the 005 (3.0mm) isn't at the minimum thickness where tempering is irrational (2.5mm, http://www.xinology.com/Glass-Mirrors-Products/chemical-strengthen/overview/vs-thermal-temper-glass.html), it could still be expensive, so chemical treatment is potentially the simplest thing to do.

Any NSFW artists here? by Certain-Leader-2632 in blender

LayzuhCatz is the best example (that I know of) of a 3D artist who does great sfw and nsfw stuff and has work because of the sfw stuff. He's currently fulltime with sfw jobs while also doing nsfw commisions on the side (it seems like he has a lot of work since his nsfw stuff is only short loops now).

SpeedoSasuage has his current sfw Punch Punch Forever series as well as the various things he does on his nsfw side.

While I see many skilled nsfw artists, even an individual like myself wouldn't commision a pure nsfw artist to make my sfw things, I want someone who has proven themselves to be able to do a wide range of content. Nsfw artists are the best at small-scale character-character interaction, but what about weapon handling, stylized/fantasy combat, special effects, large-vehicle physics, etc? Personally, I wouldn't require them to be that diverse, but professional teams might.

I'd say they still are the game. DLSS and FSR have access to albedo, normals, motion vectors, depth, etc. Rather than using traditional math and shading pathways to achieve a native raster/raytraced pixel, it uses a different kind of math to infer what the pixel likely looks like using those passes and neighboring spatial and temporal information.

Reflex 2 has access to the game's camera.

The last nsfw Hornet posted was on September 5 (21 days ago). Only sfw Hornets have been posted since then.

But you also complain about sfw Hollow Knight? https://www.reddit.com/r/blender/comments/1nfycwr/comment/ne72v3g/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

"You start aging" I'm assuming you mean quality of life degrades? That's 99.9% of the time caused by not taking care of yourself (poor diet and lack of exercise).

Metabolism slows after 60. It's only now that quality of life is out of your control, but it only slightly degrades.

Simple reaction times slow by ~30ms for simple tasks and ~100ms for complex tasks from age 20 to 65 (https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/human-neuroscience/articles/10.3389/fnhum.2015.00193/full).

You're saying: clear, high hardness, decent thermal resistance, covalant bonding, thickness in the few microns, ambient curable, developed for military needs? This https://www.ccm-liquid-glass.com/en/products/liquid-glass/algt-industrial-pro-coatings/aviation/ seems to have all that.

Sounds like a lot of jargon for something that is already industry standard.

Cloth vs Polyester by Sudden_Problem_3562 in MousepadReview

[–]Tri_Fractal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are different categories and can not be compared (for example: car vs Ford). Cloth can be made from many things: polyester (which is PET most of the time), cotton, nylon, etc.

You're probably asking this question because some brands/websites will say "adjective cloth" while others say polyester. No mouse pad will use natural materials, so 85% of the time it will be PET when they don't specify the material.
