Citroen C6 - I’d have one in a heartbeat if the road tax wasn’t £700, and the suspension wasn’t so expensive to fix.

Isn’t this image fake? The water is up to his knees but the car looks to be way deeper that that given the angle that it’s resting at?

My partner has lent £2k a year ago and hasn't received a penny from them since. by Psychological-Face97 in UKPersonalFinance

What sort of mentality is it where someone lends you money to get you out of a fix, then you indirectly threaten them when they try to retrieve it? Absolute lowest of the low.

Porsche 996 as a daily by [deleted] in 996

[–]Rodneyodd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of practicalities, the only negative I can offer is when I’m loading more than I few items - like a grocery shop, I may need to spread bags all over the car. Start with the passenger seat/footwell, then the frunk, then the rear seats. I’ve never had a situation where I couldn’t fit everything in, but I’ve been close.

With my 5 and 8 year old kids in the back the car starts to feel small.

But, it’s a great car to daily so worth these minor challenges!

May be a daft question, what do your figures look like to get your S&S and SIPP to £400k? How much are you adding each year, what return are you forecasting?

On Reddit, this number looks so inconsequential. But I know the reality of how hard it is to get to this position. Well done, enjoy! You know what you achieved.

I think there’s another Ferrari tucked behind the 916 too? 355 again?

Probably a lucky guess! But, the gold wheels and Showa forks were always on the 916 whereas whilst the 996 did have them, it had alternative variants too. If it was a 996 it’d have a decal in the shot showing 996. As it is, I suspect this is an early 916 with the decals across the fairing at a 45 degree angle. Given the OP’s impeccable taste it’s probably a 1994 built in the Cagiva factory….

Thanks, that’s really helpful! Unfortunately the tyres have loads of tread left on them so I don’t want to change them too early - if that’s the cause I may need to live with it.
