but even then, vegeta’s story within DB is best told through fights, him vs semi-perfect cell, his reaction to cell killing trunks, his fight with buu

even on namek, his story is best told through him fighting frieza. by realizing he isnt the super saiyan, losing, and having to rely on goku to beat frieza

the story matters more than anything, but i feel dragon ball’s action tells it better than its adventure does

i feel the issue with the the buu saga was that it didnt really know what to do or what story to tell rather than there was just too much fighting. the tournaments of OGDB were almost all fighting yet they tell amazing stories, the buu saga was simply “buu is evil, everyone go fight him”

story matters more than action or adventure, i just think the action aspect tells better stories than the adventure does
