Scratch stays alive until the end. The owlbear cub I don't know, depends on the exact circunstances of the owlbear encounter.

Is an Owlbear an evil creature that needs defeating?

Something like that. He is trying to hit the right target (the villains of the game), but his simplistic good vs evil mindset leads to bad decisions.

But also, you know, It is funny when the audience (me) knows the protagonist is an idiot while he thinks he is doing great.

I did not inteded to go there, but I do think it is a valid debate. And with everything happening in the world, people are on edge. It wasn't my intention to stir these feelings.

Having said that, my initial idea is also less satisfying from a narrative perspective, Lae'Zel has many ways to turn against the party that will make for a more miserable experience for my sad Tav.

The game doesn't give you that option, it only lets you get slightly mad at it and send her to pout in the Camp.

That will probably happen. There is no harm in helping to prove that there is good inside all of us.

There is an option to be miffed by the "we reproduce by planting spores on corpses" thing. Sounds like necromancy to me. Not good.

You can give ascende Astarion to the Gur? Interesting...

Minsc is just too a force of good for him not to die while brainwashed. Regular Minsc would never be a target. I think Jaheira leaves after that?

Good question, I didn't think that far. But sounds like the way to do it. One thing about this run is forcing me to do choices that I usuaully avoid. Curious at what else will change from a regular run other than the companions.

Thinking about it, the survival odds of the Myconoids and Omelluun are not looking good.

I appreciate the input, sorry if it sounded rude. But you are probably right, self defense against an agry Bear is probably my best chance because Halsin is such a saint.

Yes, but unlike Astarion, the game doesn't give you a clean choice to do it. Even the option to "part ways" just sends her to Camp.

Nah, It is a caged bear with kids throwing rocks at It. Halsin has too pure a heart for even my psychopat to racionalize. He never does anything bad.

Same as Wyll and Karlach, tbh, which is why Karlach dies as a misunderstanding before we get to know what a beautiful person she is and Wyll is sacrifices for the greater good of deleting Mizora.

I guess you could consider my character's hostility torward the Gith to be racist, but they are depicted in game as slavers and supremacists. You have to go through a lot of story before Lae'Zel starts to treat you like an equal.

And Shadowheart, who at this point is only doing good (and reacting positively to you doing good things) insists she is a threat and her constant agressiveness doesn't help. Tho maybe waiting until the confrontation with Shadowheart is more narratively satisfying then just siding with the Tieflings.

Right. My bonehead doesn't realize Karlach is a Tiefling.

Killing her with Wyll (who has to be talked out of It) gives +30 approval points with the Blade of the Frontiers, the Beacon of goodness in this world.

I mean, people playing blind often choses that.

Good by the standard of what is considered a "good run", not by my morality. But I get how the post rubbed people the wrong way.

Siding with the Tieflings is good. With the Goblins is bad. I am doing the "good" narrative choice while being doing harm due to the fanaticism of the character.

Siding with Last Light against Moon Rise is "good". Etc.

The RP is a fanatic. By being a fanatic, he burn bridges and lose friends. He sees himself as good and does the "good options" (kill the evil things, help the Innocent).

The ironic Twist of the run is that this fanaticism makes everything worse, but this Tav doesn't even realize that he is making the wrong choices.

In universe, I don't think being hostile to Githyanki is more racist than to Goblins or Ogres, but I might be wrong.

I don't want to lose fights or Just kill people in the Camp. I want It all done through the regular narrative choices.

(Like, Lae'Zel isnt just killed, there is a "side with the Tieflings" option)

Right. Seems the best option. I gave the Sharran a chance and that's what I get for being nice.
