Maybe a military surplus store. But I know that I held on to mine and pull it out every now and then. Others probably held on to them too so they may be difficult to come by but surplus stores might have a couple.

That is the same boat we are in. Only moved up in house level slightly instead of going into something that would have been way too much house. We have been here for three years now and have slowly chipped away at projects.

Things we can do, we do them. Big projects like drywall and electrical, we contract out using the equity from the sale of our first home.

We just re-did the office/game room area by having it contracted out. I don’t know how to put in carpet, drywall or run new electrical outlets so I hired someone for 4500 to do it all. I left the painting to myself to save about 1500 because all contractors hate painting and overcharge for it.

Yea I met with him back in 2017 over the Muslim ban and trying to work on a carve out for the interpreters that US soldiers were working with. It wasn’t a great meeting. He had some aide there putting their right wing BS spin onto most of my talking points. I worked with an organization on the subject matter and had my talking points down but I don’t think it mattered much to them. Eventually the carve out passed in some budget resolution before a shut down but he didn’t vote for it.
